I'm not sure, I seem to always miss BZLs in the UK. Missed the Bournemouth one by a single day, Warrington one as well, and most annoying of all, the Manchester was trialed during the month I was in Singapore 😵💫
@@glitchFan2428 I can't get any new demos in Singapore these days so don't worry, it's just our generation 😂😂 But at least I managed to see a BZL chassis at an Aussie trade fair.
Ngl, the acceleration sound kinda reminds me of the old Volvo B6BLE/Wright Crusaders we had here in the Black Country a few years ago Wonder what it'd be like to have a 4 or 6 speed transmission mounted to an electric motor, lol (hopefully it'd fully replicate the sound of a 90's diesel midibus)
I preferred this than the Linkker... Add on, this has more forward facing seats plus the seats are not that tight like those on the Linkker where there's barely any legroom for an average height guy...
If LTA really wants to insist that 'electric is the way forward', then at least get these type of buses instead of the MIC cheap trash that won't even last half the lifespan of the buses they replaced
@@LJ07EBP yes i know they are, but you can set the bus up to perform slowly like a tortoise mode. This bus looks like to have that setting applied. I have no doubt the bus can speed off very fast but when the bus companys mechanics are told to restrict the power and speed sometimes
@@psmith77271 I don't think this is done deliberately. I know of limp mode but companies don't just restrict the bus power like that. Limp mode happens on vehicles with engines only when the computer detects a fault with parts around the engine and to prevent further damage it reduces the amount of fuel squirted into engine every second
@@LJ07EBP i know companys that have done it. Loacal bus depot to me had a batch of electric buses from new and they were very powerfull and fast. Few weeks later they were like as in limp mode as you say. I asked the driver why they were like that now, he told me they have restricted the power/pull away speed due to some drivers abusing the bus. So they can do it and they do it with diesel buses too. Example london buses are restricted left right and centre. We have a few ex london volvos in our depot and when they arrived they were awfull, low power and speed limited to 47mph. Once the mechanics opened them up a bit they were far far better for take off speed and maximum.limited speed was increased to 62mph.
Does anyone think this sounds nice? Or one step further.. anyone prefer this sound over a diesel bus? 🤔🤔
sounds nice for electric barse but will never beat diesel barse
louzy finite resource authority rejected this barse cos not cheap enough 3 door
i honestly prefer this sound, i think its definitely one of the most melodic buses in sg's bus industry!
I personally like the sound but for me at least, it can't come close to being as nice as a diesel. Each to their own though!
Compared to other electric barses, dis one got that clear engine sound, its perfect but can never beat a diesel barse
Once of the best gearbox for an e-bus! Very good and quiet thrashing !
this sounds nice... what a pity i never got the chance to ride on it...
hopefully lta will consider procuring these buses in future
Mm, who knows
This is the best electric sound imo

Pushing volvo bzl to limit with speed and rev. Weird that scania kub door closing chime is used in volvo bzl when closing
Haha yeah it's certainly quite a fast bus.
i was on a bustech VST Scania C250EB And the 2 speed adapter gearbox sounds so good
Do they have these in the UK (not the 7900E)? There's quite a number running in Perth, and Volvo is trying up to drum up orders in Australia.

I suppose only time will tell, it'll certainly be exciting to find out though
My favourite sound still is going to be the Ganz-Solaris Trollino 12/18, sadly they are going to be scrapped in fall of 2024 in Tallinn
Ooo well I hope you get to enjoy them while you can

I honestly have never heard of electric buses shifting until now.
Same before I heard about this one
@@glitchFan2428 Imagine if they put a ZF on it
Wait, did it fail its trial? If it actually failed I'm mad
Not sure
fail cos louzy lta deputy director of bus assets don't want 2 door bus, and 3 door SD european bus they think too expensive
volvo scania MAN all rightfully got very pissed off at them lmao

got king long demo coming btw

Yeah I would much prefer these, especially with the two step gearbox
@@glitchFan2428 get volvo 7900 electric brendy barse !!!!!
But sure they abit differences
Slight differences here and there among electric buses but this one is quite a big difference because of the gearbox
Seems sluggish/limited
The speed is limited to 60kmh but acceleration I'm not exactly sure how the gearing ratio works
Its in no way slow electrics are alot quicker than diesels
