I really loved the remakes, so seeing a new game is super exciting to me. The only ways to make this announcement better is to give us a remake of the sateliview sequel.
@@speedways7190 I was just going to comment the same thing, but I feel like Satellaview content tends to get swept under the rug. Actually, this might be a good opportunity to ask if anyone knows of any instances in history where Satellaview content has been remastered?
@@moose18100 I think with the remastered version of Chrono Cross it included the sateliview game that (I think) links Chrono Trigger to Chrono Cross.

@@moose18100BS Fire Emblem got a remake as an unlockable in Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. As said, Radical Dreamers was included in Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers edition. There it was a port as opposed to a full remake like Fire Emblem got
I don't know much about FDC, but Emio has me really intrigued. The marketing definitely hooked me on something I'd otherwise probably pass over. I think I'll check out the remakes now to see what they're like
I played the originals that had a fan translation and I was incredibly hyped when they announced the remakes! A sequel is literally a dream title that I never thought we'd see!

The reaction to this game is very polarizing.
There's a lot of people who were hoping for Nintendo to do something more action/survival horror oriented, and were ultimately disappointed. On the other hand, there are people who wanted a new Famicom Detective Club who are very happy for it.
This is traditionally the kind of game I like to watch other people play, but I've never actually played one myself. The art from the other games looks beautiful and I trust Nintendo to tell a good story. It's cool that they're making it a whole series.
There was a lot of wild speculation about what this was going to be. A lot of people were wrong haha.
This isn't the type of game I expected nor will play but I am happy for the fans of this series
As soon as I saw the announcement, I preordered the physical version off Nintendo's website. I have the prequel sitting in my backlog so I'll likely boot it up this week and pick up the other game in the duology before the third game arrives in Aug. I love me some detective fiction and am glad that there's more eyes on the series now
This is actually gonna be the 4th, because the 3rd was on the Sateliview, but I don't think that one has seen the light of day again ever since sadly.
Yeah I just learned about that game earlier today, but since it doesn't have an english version on Switch, I'll have to skip it for now. Perhaps it has a fan translation that I can check out via emulation once I get a working PC again though
Just because someone doesn't know or think much of a series doesn't give them the right to shit all over it when it gets some attention.
Honestly those people who are just blindly hating add nothing of value to the discussion, if they don't wanna give something different s try or they have a blind bias against visual novel games they go look elsewhere and ket others who enjoy a series be happy it's getting a new entry.
Disappointment in cases like this only happens when people shoot their expectations up to an absurd degree and imagine something entirely out of the realm of reality. It's one thing to see a game you were excited for and discover something upsetting about it to get disappointed but it's a whole other thing for creating some made up concept you constructed in your head and then just be disappointed because you weren't informed enough to actually know what to expect.
So this is Nintendo's version of Gabbo? Emio, Emio, Emio. Wow did you see that? Yeah. What's Emio? I figure it's someone's name, somebody named Emio.
It's probably made by MAGES and they are good at horror, even gore, so with those warnings I think it's going to be quite brutal

@@sec9_ MAGES made the remakes, as in they developed it under Sakamoto's supervision. I imagine this will be the same.

I was interested when the FDC remakes were announced a few years back, and - though I haven't started them yet - I did buy them. I was just thinking about those two games yesterday, sitting at the bottom of my Switch library, since I've been attempting to clear my backlog lately. And today's announcement means they've just jumped in priority! I am excited!

You're telling me that instead of getting a psychological horror game from Nintendo, we're just getting a sequel to a visual novel game that failed to sell even a million units?
I'm genuinely excited about this. Maybe we could actually get a physical release in the US for the full trilogy?

But yeah, I was surprised it was another installment of Famicom Detective Club, I didn't think the remakes did particularly well. But I'm interested! It's just the price of the remakes seemed to be a bit much, but the effort put into them was high quality anyway.
I honestly was thinking in the back of my head this was going to be an Eternal Darkness sequel. Even though I'm sad it isn't still looking forward to this!
I just finished both remakes a couple months ago and they were great. Gonna get this when it comes out.
I havent played any of the Famicom Detective Club games but as I get older, I am learning I love all narrative mystery games. Love Phoenix Wright, Ghost Trick, Inscryption, and the really recent Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. Looks like this will be a great one to add to that list! 😊

Person's obviously never played a horror visual novel.
The FDC has a lot of unsettling themes in it, so it wandering into that territory is pretty darn appropriate. The problem is, people who don't like visual novels will never take it seriously enough to give it a go. I think it looks interesting though!
At least Kojima's OD game is probably coming eventually for the people who were disappointed
I thought the remakes looked really good. Just haven't played them yet. I was hoping that Emio was a new Horror IP (like many other people) but I honestly think that I will buy Emio once it comes out, and if I really enjoy it I'll definitely play the two remakes.
the second i saw that bag head man, this game was the first thing i thought it was and i checked the date of this video cus i thought it was for the remakes.
I'm thinking about playing the first two, Might hold off buying them, until the new game comes out in hopes of a discount or a promotion,

I was not interested in the game if it was survival horror and was expecting a hard pass on the game. But now I am actually pretty excited to give it a try!

On a personal note, I hope they DON'T have English voice acting. I've seen a lot of voice actors as of late try to change and/or censor the games they voice in, and frankly I don't trust them anymore

I think I’ll still pick this up, I do like the story premise and didn’t know they had come out with games before this one. Gonna give it a shot.
