If anyone needs help understanding the song:
Aimee wrote this song about actor Andrew Garfield, when she first met him at a party before he was Spider-man and super famous but when he was just getting into the acting profession after the first couple of films one of them being The Social Network put him on the map pretty quickly. So i gather this song is based about on him being "new" and having hopes about the future.
How is it even possible for an artist to keep getting better and better with time ? Aimee's one of a kind. That album was a life-saver for me in 2017-2018.

I've seen The Dresser as a play. Awesome reference. Ironically I was watching James Urbaniak in Sex and the City the other day. Also spotted him in Supergirl earlier this year. Great actor. As always Aimee is beautifully morose and reflective.
More and more Aimee's songs and the presentation of these songs is getting to be my daily soundtrack!

Both, "Patient Zero" and "Goose Snow Cone", are beautiful songs with really great lyrics! I have a feeling that this will become my favourite album of yours, already loved the titel when it was announced and your explanation why you called it "Mental Illness".

HBO documentary 'Baby God' brought me here too. I thought, "wow what a great tune", so I came here looking for the artist and video.
I´ve been a unconditional fan of Aimee Mann since Boston 1982, when she was writing, singing and playing bass in her new wave band Til Tuesday, with Robert Holmes, Joey Pesce and Michael Hausmann. This is not one of her best songs by any means. Better listen to Magnolia´s "Wise Up", that´s where the gold is.
