Really great job Bruce. Most of my viewer are 50 plus and I highly recommend them having a local bike shop they can use for service and assembly. Take away the assembly and you have a great bike that will give you miles and miles of enjoyment 😀. Thanks for the great video
Agree JT it is a great trike. It hoowevery is not the trike for someone who is older and does not have the skills of someoone to help build it for them. Taking it to a bike shop to assemble, then you may as well buy the better and and easier to assemble the TK1-folding. It is just as fun to ride as the TK1-folding for sure. LOL. TY for the comment.
Nice review and comparison Bruce. I much prefer the capacity of the Fat20 rear basket but I think the TK1 is a cleaner look. There are things that I prefer about both of them and I certainly don't mind the assembly but If there is someone a bit timid about assembly the TK1 is the logical choice.
me too. I love the color screen on the fat20 I do like the big tires and size because I am a big guy, I like the fat20 fender look and the front basket on the fat20 looks a little better in its design. All that gets negated by the assembly and hydro brakes. Thanks for watching Richardd. Appreciate the comment andd insight. ;-)
@@Rip1Outdoors Nope! Just went out to check and there is no adjustment to change it. Looks like fake suspension. The TK1-folding does flex, as I checked it while I went to check the Fat20
Well I have to say I am intrigued with these three-wheeled e-bikes. Would not be very practical here in my area but they are intriguing. Job well done Bruce.
Blaine. I think they would be great on some of the paths you take when you travel. On the street they aare a little wider and when drivers aren’t paying attention. scary for sure. great for paved trails and looking for butterflies 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋
I've had mine for about a month now. I kept looking for unboxing and assembly videos, but they were nowhere to be found! Finally! I had a stroke last August, and my right side doesn't work. Needless to say, I found it difficult to put together. I really think Mooncool misses the boat when they don't put out videos about unboxing and assembly. I think I might have waited till I had enough dinero for something a little more assembled. But, with a little help from my next door neighbor, we got 'er done. I did or would do a few things differently. The assembly instructions start off with the derailleur, but that is a whole lot easier after you put the left wheel on and you can tip the whole thing on its side, like you did. But before that, it is just a whole lot easier putting the front and back assemblies together without them trying to roll around. So, the order I would do it is 1) assemble the front and back halves; 2) assemble the handlebar; 3) put the rear wheels on; 4) install the derailleur. From there on the instructions can be followed. I, too, used zip ties on the back basket just to hold everything together while putting the metal straps on. I got one metal strap partially bent and put on and I gave up on that whole idea. Like you, I finished it up with some stronger zip ties. It's a great trike for the price, and a good looker, too. But if I had only known how much I had to do...
The TK1-Folding is #1 in my book just because of that very reason. The Hyddro brakes are the other reason. Once assembled the TK-FAT20 is very simular, just bigger with those fat 4" wide tires.
No, The Tk1-folding is so much better. 20x3 is fine for country roads. If your road is all 1.5 minus then yes, But most are 3/4 minus and the TK1-folding trike will do great.
Hey Hows it going. No I took it down as the views were never that great. I have about 50 videos that don't have lots of views and if they are up for months and months and only a few hundred views on a ride video...It comes down.
A much anticipated review. . Appreciate all you do and respect your opinions and insights. What is the top speed you achieved? Did you find the 7 speed shimano to be a benefit?
@@JimGulbranson The TK1 folding single speed is fit right in the midddle of the 7. Like 3 or 4. The TK1-Folding has a thinner tire and more air pressure in the tire. The TK1 rolls pretty easy. Both are nice and I don't like peddling either with no juice. ;-)
@RVEnthusiast tough decision. I do like the hydraulic brakes and rear tail lights but I like the sevin gears to choose from and I think the fat tire would give you a little softer ride and better on gravel
Hi Bruce, do you know if the Mooncool batteries are UL certified? I am trying to decide between the tk1 and the addmotor 310. Have you ridden the 310 yet?
HI terry I have not seen anywhere that it is UL approved. If the webside does not say it then it must not be. No I do not have an addmotor 310. I have heard its a decent trike though. MoonCool TK1-folding is exceptional.
Thanks Bruce. I keep seeing reports of battery fires and that you need to get UL approved. What is your opinion? Are you in Vancouver? I'm just over the river. First started watching your channel with your motor home videos!
Assembly tip! Layout all the parts, place the parts where they go on the bike. That will help you follow the assembly steps. Great video Bruce!
Nice comment Don. Agree layout is important for sure.

Not really a benefit on the 7 speed shifter. Gear 7 all the time is no problem. 15MPH top speed achieved.
I think I would like the 7 speed in case the battery goes dead. So you have easier peddling. The tk1 folding trike has only one gear

the TK1 must have the motor in the rear to make it a good trike, the motor on the front, slips a lot. So it is not good.
TK1-folding has rear drive. YK1-fat-tire is front wheen drive and its actually pretty good. I personally like the TK1-folding best.
Hey check to see if you can get Aipas to send you a there A6 cargo
Yes the A6 specs are great.
