Very cool Anthony! I lived in Sarasota for a little while and had always wanted to get down to see the Everglades but never did. Looks beautful. A preppers paradise if you know what your doing. :)
Thanks. It is very beautiful but can also be very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. You are right, a preppers paradise. Not many people to storm your location out there that's for sure.
Thanks for watching Gary. CERT is a great program and gives us the opportunity to help serve in the community and we are learning from top notch people. We also have access to their training simulated areas where we practice mock rescue drills. It is very rewarding. This event was the first for me and it was amazing.
You are correct. You have to be very prepared and ready to bug out in a location like this. We had a good time and learned a lot. Broward Fire Rescue is great.
Thanks. I tell you if I could get one of those campsites I would look into an airboat. You need to be a good operator though, it is easy to get lost or mess up your boat if you are inexperienced.
I am not sure but everything has to be loaded on your airboat or you need to tow a jon boat full of materials. Not easy but once done you have a great little getaway.
.....they also use older fiberglass airboat hulls for moving items such as generators, lawn mowers, etc.......they rig them up so they can be pushed by another airboat
Thanks for watching Mike. We had a great time and learned so much in just the several hours we were out there. Not many Zombies in this area unless some at the different camps could get on airboats. I did not take my ham radio. I did take my Marine Radio and found out that most people in this area monitor channels 68 and 69 for emergencies, including Broward Fire Rescue.
It was a great learning experience. I never realized that there were so many camps out there. Everything has to taken out by airboat. It has got to be a major pain to build something out there, but once it is done you are good to go. You have to know how to operate out there. It is not for everybody. Can be dangerous.
Thanks Roach. I asked the captain of our boat if I could access these areas with a kayak. The answer was, no. Lol. I am not skilled in airboat maneuvers yet. Lol.
That's is what you call a retreat . A water system and a solar system and a garden what else could one need . Not to mention all the fish you can catch and eat .
Outstanding tour and information. Now FL 301 preppers will be purchasing air-boats.

Agree. You have to be ready for many types of contingencies.

That can be " The perfect bugout location" for the right prepper or a " Death trap" for the wrong one....Cool video, looks like you had a blast.
No problem. Stay in touch.
Yes. You can lost there very easy if you are not prepared. A very dangerous area for the inexperienced.

Thanks. Yes, I was a little nervous walking through that area. I am not too fond of snakes myself.
Thanks for watching. We had a great time and learned so much.
Thanks for watching. It was a great experience.
The training must have been very interesting but those camps were amazing. I can't phantom how they were built.
I bet, it looks like an ocean of grass, except the sharks are alligators. Very telling when he turned off the motor and said "So, where are we?"
Imagine if those camps had about 2,000 watts of solar on the roof! You would be what I call hooked up!
I did not, but you are allowed to carry in this area except for Indian Reservation areas yo need to check their rules first.
What city are you in? I can get you info.
