The Royal Senchi is stunning, I spent 4 days there in March 2016 and still have not gotten over the experience. So natural and cozy. I hope to return there someday.

This is the type of architecture I wish was all over West Africa. It should be our signature style. It is beautiful! When you look at government buildings in Japan, China, Korea,etc you have no doubt it is an Asian traditional style. In Africa, our government buildings could easily be placed in Europe and no one would notice. Let's keep some traditional styles as we develop!(especially the roofs)
This roof style is not indigenous to West Africa but to Southern Africa so to say it should be all over West Africa is to say the same thing, importing a foreign culture because it suits an image you like. Africa is not monolithic

If you look up lodges in Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa like Livingstone Lodge, Ilalla Lodge etc, you will see this hotel mimics that aesthetic. Not to say there aren't thatch houses in Ghana, but there are differernt aesthetics between the West and South in terms of the construction

Anyways, It's true that it was built by Zimbabweans, however, according to the owner of the resort, they use mainly inspiration from Ghanaian cultures with a few from other parts of Africa so yes the shape, form of the structure itself may be something from the south but we're talking about the roof here and it's the simple truth that it's thatch.....which was very much used in historical West Africa. So the fact that west africans haven't used it much for their resorts but the southerners have, doesn't necessarily mean it originates from there but like I said, we are ready to relearn if you can provide the reference that explicitly say otherwise. If you go to google right now and type historical Akan/Beninios etc architecture, you'll find this exact thatch roofing style there.

Great video my brother. My wife and I visited last Christmas 🎄 and we felt in love with the place. We did the river cruise and the foooooood? My gracious. The whole area of the Akwamu is stunning. The landscape, oxygen concentration, the feel of nature...I can go on and on. Also did a tour of the King's Palace at Akwamufie. Pure and rich history. We are going again this year as we noticed there's a lot to be part of. I would love e to have a home there. Thanks mate.

A remarkable video exposing one of the many quality resorts in Ghana with a tranquil and richly natural atmosphere. However, I noticed that when you slow down some of your drone videos they get somewhat choppy. Perhaps you could try improving your slow motion quality by using optical flow available in final cut and also on premiere pro. Besides that everything else is a solid A+. Love what you do. A remarkable video exposing one of the many quality resorts in Ghana with a tranquil and richly natural atmosphere. However, I noticed that when you slow down some of your drone videos they get somewhat choppy. Perhaps you could try improving your slow motion quality by using optical flow available in final cut and also on premiere pro. Besides that everything else is a solid A+. Love what you do. Keep up the good work Steven.

This is extremely beautiful but my heart is bleeding because you will never see such a progressive and modern development on BBC, ALjazeer, CNN and other Non-African new agencies, even on some African new houses as well. African needs to triple its effort to change the narratives in terms of development but again, the Continent must not always be portrayed by media in negative ways. I’m from Liberia, however , I’m very excited to see such a decent development in Ghana. Let’s keep it up. No one else can do it for us but ourselves.
