No.... there are not seatbelts in a bus for safety reasons. Aside from the risk of a laceration, sprain, breaking a neck and in a rare case even strangling the passenger (since busses are MUCH heavier than a normal car and have greater recoil power) if the bus were on fire, or the damage to the vehicle pinned someone's hands from being able to release the seatbelt, they wouldn't be able to evacuate fast enough and could get pinned or stuck and burn to death.... so yeah, we don't put seatbelts on busses for good reason.

It takes around .25 seconds for the human body to react to any stimuli. The bus driver had around 1.5 seconds after the truck even touched the yellow divider. That poor Driver and the Children screaming ! How horrible !
These are people's children, should not be posting this video.Privacy for families
some what agree to what you say but it also needs to be out so ppl can see and maybe will help someone else to think before they do
OMG the driver and those poor babies!! Hearing their screams tore my heart out.
Not defending, the truck driver must be jailed. However, the bus driver had enough time to react as well
I'm sorry but you're straight up wrong if you think that theres anything the bus driver could have realistically done to prevent a collision in this situation. are you aware of how long a big yellow school bus is? not to mention you can literally see him trying to turn the moment it started to look as if the oncoming truck wasn't going to self-correct. sad reality though is that if he had turned too much the impact would have likely been far more concentrated onto the side of the bus, where it would have likely been deadly to far more children... it's unwise to make these sorts of judgements based off of a dashcam clip which can't accurately relay the exact conditions the driver may have been in from his perspective. this is something he will likely be crippled with guilt from for the rest of his life, wondering if there was anything he could have done differently. let's be mindful of that.
@ksenia-konstantinovna exactly 👏👏👏
It takes around .25 seconds for the human body to react to any stimuli.
The bus driver had around 1.5 seconds after the truck even touched the yellow divider.
This gave the bus driver 1.25 seconds at best to avoid the accident.
Please, tell me, how in the world would you avoid this accident in 1.25 seconds?
@@jeffrbake the thing is i wanna know why the bus was even allowed to use a road like this in the first place. Where I live there are strict rules around the roads school buses with children on them are allowed to take, based on a number of factors such as speed limit and traffic volume. It takes the risk of such a thing happening down to highly unlikely
@@риня_ржевская based on the location, this is a small county town. This is the only type of roads you get there.
Source: I live in a small country town.
My heart goes 💔 out to the two that lost lives. Truly sad.
the bus driver didn't anticipate the situation, he reacted late...
He started moving as soon as the truck crossed the double lines. Unfortunately long vehicles like that take longer to get out of the way. You turn the wheel and the front moves but the back still has to get out of the way.
@@cptbabyface9804I'm sorry, but if he had watched the situation on the road, he would have avoided the truck....I experienced something similar, but that's just my opinion..
Yikes, I would hate to be around someone with this mindset blaming the driver instead of the person that crossed the line... thats some weird way of thinking. @CHRCHTR
@@Rogerlopez-d6d No doubt the truck driver is responsible for causing this incident. But situational awareness is paramount and monitoring oncoming traffic and anticipating your reaction to poor drivers like that are absolutely essential. Truly a tragic event, but it was avoidable by both drivers.

Prayers to all the families
Posters really should be made to give the outcome of these kindsof videos or be banned.
google cement truck hit school bus and you will have the entire story!
So then hit the don't recommend this channel button. Oh I get it. If YOU don't want to watch it, you think that nobody should be able to.
@@frenchustube stories have at least a beginning, middle and end. This misses that last part- the end.
@@rogerahier4750 no. When I start watching it there's nothing to say that no outcome or conclusion is shown is there? Seems that's too complicated for your brain- you really need to try using it for actions beyond autonomous nose picking.
@@a1smith Actually, I think that in general, if you need a trigger warning that a video doesn't have a conclusion, you have serious issues.
Personally, I don't like videos with no conclusion. I think they are stupid. That doesn't mean that I think they should be banned or require a trigger warning. You just need to mind your own business in general.
I Pray those Kids are okay and my Heart goes out to all the Parents that may have lost their children.
I know this may seem like I’m pointing fingers at the wrong person. But if I were driving that bus, you can bet I would have turned to the side of my lane much faster than this driver.
The truck did even enter the bus side until about 3 seconds before impact. And the driver was already on the fog line before that.
@@yoyo762 you could see the path that cement truck was heading for hot minute.
@@cyclicpsychorecondo3563 More like a few seconds. And it takes the bus driver a couple seconds to realize the truck is actually coming at him. Because most times the opposing vehicle corrects and maintains its lane. Its reasonable to think that will happen. Not go straight at you.
And the bus driver didn't see it coming really
Yet more proof that the law is an ass.
Sending out love to those kids, and the parents ❤
Could have gotten over more. Driver fell asleep.
No. He was on his phone.
@@MKathryn10Actually the driver admitted to doing coke and ran on 3 hours of sleep thus fell asleep at the wheel and killed 2 people because of it.
No phone was involved in the situation whatsoever unfortunately.
(I kinda wish it was a phone this time)
My deepest condolences to the families who got hurt and lost loved ones in this horrific tragedy.
School bus driver sounded like an old lady. And she didn’t notice the pump truck till the last minute. If they were more alert, they probably could of avoided the pump
So it's the bus drivers fault???you are ignorant.
Horrible, prayers for the kids and the family
😢😢😢😢
Oh my gosh, this is heartbreaking to hear those little kids screaming like that. My condolences to the people who lost their loved ones. 😢
Praying for the children on bus and families
I blame the Bus driver in all retrospect. You can clearly see him turning into his lane, yet doesnt turn when the Trucker is halfway into it?
Those kids screaming. Lord have mercy for all. 💔
Good thing all the kids were wearing seatbelts
Hearing those kids scream is straight nightmare fuel.
That's just being dramatic. 😑
Heartbreaking to hear the screams.
So sad and traumatizing for these children. Prayers for the families that lost folks in the crash and specially for the child's parents.
Tired or distracted driving , awful, pray to all those concerned 😢
He was driving while all coked up
That's terrifying. Hearing those kids scream.
Horrible. Hearing the kids scream tears at my heart.
Oh my gosh how terribly sad praying for all
Driver did not react quickly to avoid the incoming truck. Other driver negligence
I don't think that's a concrete truck. Its prolly a mix of metals, plastics, rubbers, glass, and cloth/fibers. Concrete would be too heavy and brittle even if it had rebar.
wtf are you on about?
I was in an accident on a school field trip once. The seat in front of me smashed my face and i bled everywhere. I shared a gurney with another kid in the ambulance. When my mom got to the hospital i had a neck brace on and blood all over me. I was ok, but i can only imagine the utter terror she must have felt getting that phone call and seeing me that way. Bless the parents of the child who was lost in this crash😢
Oh this makes me physically sick. How awful and heartbreaking. 😢
Omg they had no seat belts!!!!!! 😱
First let me say I'm sorry for the incident and the loss of life ! It was not a concrete truck but a concrete pump truck . God bless all who were touched by the incident.
