I wish I knew someone like Eric in Japan, he would be the ultimate guide for a 'food tourist'. I wouldn't even hit the major tour spots, I'd just go eat at the restaurants he recommends and let Eric do all the ordering. The only food I don't enjoy that he really likes is mayo. XD He likes variety and trying things, I'm down for that.
The prices seem REALLY reasonable..... Love sushi, especially salmon and yellowtail.... and freshwater eel. Really delicious looking dishes all around. Thanks for sharing.

When our daughter came back from her first stay in Japan she brought back with her the recipe for nikujaga. I'm sure I don't make it anywhere near as good as any restaurant in Japan does, but it's still a pretty tasty dish. Hopefully some day I'll be able to have it made for me by someone who really knows what they're doing. I think I would probably like everything in this video except the natto. I still can't get over the slimy look of it
