The info u shared on how to paint a white rose is just priceless and the finished process just amazing. I'm in the process of paining a white rose and became stuck trying to get that realistic look but no matter how hard I've tried or how much white paint I applied straight from the tube my painting would not budge! But somehow I knew not to touch grey and so I started adding a little ultramarine blue mixed with titanium white in the shadow parts but I was still stuck which brought me to you're video as I was in search of some professional help to bring my rose to life and you're knowledge on painting a white rose is just invaluable! I will watch and use this video as a guide to finish my rose painting and the knowledge I've gained to paint more beautiful realistic white roses in the future. Thank you, Sir. Suncribed!
Thanks for this. This is similar to icing on a cake so I searched for rose and your vid came up. It is the best tutorial so far.
Just subscribed, I finally found a tutorial that teaches step by step and with no shortcuts. Now have to try that vase of water …can never get the color of the water & stems quite right. Thx

omg im finishing a huge painting for school and i'm struggling so much with painting a white jasmine that looks somewhat similar to this + esp identitfying the colours too as well and its due tomorrow😭
My wife asked me to paint a magnolia flower, I thought oh that's easy, a white flower, no problem lol I don't paint flowers at all, I soon realized it's very complicated, thank you for the video
Excellent teaching, thank you. - One problem: it's hard to concentrate because we have to listen to extremely annoying "music". Why that background noise? It's completely unnecessary. If I want to go listen to trash music, I go to a department store. An art gallery should be a place of quiet concentration.

@@mateart I was just wondering, because it sounded different than you :D The voiceover is not that bad though, it sounds pretty natural, but at times it goes too fast and seems to ignore commas and dots :D

Thank you for this demo. Lovely work as always. I couldn't tell if you did this in alla prima, as opposed to your usual indirect method? Maybe a combination of both, but without the underpaint and grisaille? Your background color seems to have thicker paint added in the end, to give it the buttery finish? Beautiful.
Yep it Is combination of both. Direct painting method on dark imprimatura for warm undertone. So I take the best of both methods 😉
