Very beautiful painting. I paint also, and I've been trying to paint roses lately. The type of roses you are painting are hybrid tea roses. Many of the roses you can find locally are not the huybrid teas but the muliflora, and they have a very different look. Thank you for the great video.

I avoid painting roses because I am not happy with the result.
@@melianna999 Oh, well it's your choice.
To be honest I was super bad at roses too, but it only took observation and patience to do it.
It isn't necessary that you do it exactly like the reference picture, get wild! do your own stuff, create your own techniques and it'll work out :).

Ive got a pink rose painting started in a silver vase. My instructor has started me off with deep purple for the vase. I cannot see it ending up like yours. What colors did you use for the vase. Your work is amazing.

What colour did you use for the underpainting colour?
