This was such an entertaining video filled with tons of interesting facts! The Nutcracker Prince from 1990 was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. It was so cool to learn more about the true story behind it. My favorite parts of this doll are the veins in her ears and her rats crown! Such an amazing accessory! And your sculpting is just muah! Chef's kiss! When you were adding the dark spots into the cape I felt so happy that I only sculpt, not sew :D So much details, materials and work went into this outfit! You did a phenomenal job :) PS1: I also love Kill Bill and Hilda, but I am not surprised by our similar taste by now :D PS2: When I was a kid I was a happy rats owner so I feel no disgust towards them, I looove those cuties ^_^
Heeey you make me blush again 😂😂 but thank you so much for supporting me! You don't even need to make clothes for your dolls to have personality and stand out so much!❤
Rats are definitely intelligent & amazing creatures. The Nutcracker has always been one of my favorite Christmas stories & this rat queen is amazing! I love that you made her an albino. I can't wait to see your valentine's doll. ❤
She is exquisite! I absolutely adore rats. I have had several throughout my life and they are so intelligent and affectionate. I love the flawless attention to every detail, most especially her ears and hands. They make her a realistic creature for me. As opposed to just a storybook character doll. Perfection. ❤
Couldn't agree more! I love all kinds of rodents, especially rats, beavers and capybaras (captain obvious entering the chat, lol) When I was looking at photos of rats and noticed these little veins, I immediately thought that I must add these too 😆 it's one of my favorite details now 😁
I had a rat as a teen and he was brilliant and so clean! My girls had rats growing up and they were wonderful pets. Very cuddly and soft. Mice are dirty and not so smart. You are truly an artist! And a seamstress! Beautiful! Your rat crown…phenomenal!
Thank you so much for the kind words! When I was little, we also had a pet rat. I used to draw different Christmas pictures for his cage, to get him into holiday mood 😂
I have a wild rat I raised from a day old with an eye dropper She's adult now & she is a wonderful pet. So smart , clean and just as loving as a puppy dog
She reminds me of the White Queen from Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland films. Intentional or not she still is amazing and I am so envious of your sewing skills and ability to make clothing patterns. Fabulous job as always and look forward to seeing what you come up with this year ❤
Thank you so much for the kind comment! This resemblance was not intended, but i thought of her too, after I started putting things together😂 I chose a white dress because I saw pictures of some real life albino people wearing white and they looked majestic. 🌟
Oh, if you like Tim Burton’s art you should check out Edward Gorey! He was one of Tim Burton’s influences and he has that same kind of scratchy, gothic kinda vibes. ❤
Noted!! Thank you so much for recommendation ❤ Yeeesss I love Hilda so much, I literally watched it 3 times 😂 the newest season is not as good though 🥲
She is the best doll. I mean, she is the moment, yall 😌. Those intricate details made her the best. Sewing small beads on the flowers, adjusting the embroidery part for the clean finish, and hand sewing those teeny tiny black fur details.... Also, sculpting 🐭 heads so perfectly, I mean girl, it's literally the size of a finger nail. That's so amazing.💖💖💖💖
My brother had a pet rat when we were in high school. His name was Albert, (Einstein!) He lived in a pile of my brothers old socks. She is awesome! Keep up the good work!
She is beautiful! I can almost see her be a character in a fairytale. And the video was a delight to watch with the facts about the original story & facts about how humans viewed rats back in older times popping up during the process of making this queen.
The detail in this absolutely amazes me, I feel like I would have ran out of patience on the beading of the underskirt! Gorgeous doll she turned out phenomenal 😍

A good idea I have for her crown I thought of was maybe it's smaller versions of crowns she used to wear, or crowns she wanted but couldn't choose one and did want to switch her crown out anytime so she then made her rat head crown instead. Just a weird Idea I got watch the video, I enjoyed seeing this have a good week to anyone reading this :)

Very regal but the makeup is also giving mischievous evil queen vibes 😍❤ Also I love hearing your process when it comes to making your patterns. Again thank you for doing what you do and doing it amazingly. May this year brings you lots of great things.
I appreciate the kind comment, thank you so much! I thought may be if I show people my train of thought, it could inspire someone else too, or help them create their own designs 😁 I hope this year will bring you all the best too 💖
You amaze me. Your rat queen is distinguished and perfectly elegant. I love that you take the time to teach us how you do things that I would never think of. Have a most wonderful new year, and may the officer that comes to check on you be not only handsome but kind and godly ❤
Thanks! And pastels also chip off pretty easy. Not everyone tells about it, but everyone has this problem. Sometimes pastels might be even worse, because they have pretty bad coverage, and you have to layer them a lot, which increases friction in joints and makes it chip off even faster.
Rats are by far the BEST pets in the world. They're so smart, loving, empathetic, funny and just all-around awesome. They have such an unfairly bad reputation, but absolutely adore them. I just wish they lived a little longer because it breaks my heart every time one of them heads to Valhalla via the Bifröst. I just had to skip straight to this video when I looked at your channel, I love the result. The shading and capillaries on the ears are just perfect to represent those delicate little things (they are so soft and warm, too). Just to add, while people perceive rats as being a thing for the sewers and dumps, they actually live all over the place, make their own nests too, just like mice, and live in many of the same places. It's just for some reason, rats have an even worse reputation than mice do. And don't get me started on the disparity with squirrels (who are just rats with tail-fros and better PR 😂). 💜🐀👑
I totally agree with you! I think rats got their bad reputation because of the plague and typhus fever that were blamed on rats. While the actual problem was people having bad hygiene 😅 Rats as pets are very clean though!
@@DollAfterlife Absolutely true! I've had to go to the hospital for both dog and cat bites (one of which caused raging cellulitis that needed IV antibiotics) but rats? Nope. Twenty years, dozens of rats (at one stage, my housemate and I had 16 between us and free-range time was SO much fun) and only one real bite that was my own fault in the first place. I can't have them now because of health issues, so I can't give them the care and attention they need sadly, and I miss them every day. But one day, if/when I'm well enough, they'll be right back in my life again. 💜
The thing I think originally happened is that the child could have gotten a horrid illness that wasn't the flu, so she wasn't able to really have anyone get close and associated any doctors with the Rat King (maybe like the bubonic and the historically accurate plague doctors cause if you look up the original masks they look terrifying to kids) and she only had a couple toys in her room to entertain her thoughts, not realizing her body was succumbing to the illness more and more over time, hence the dreams getting more and more lucid. Maybe that's what the original story is about?
Oh it wasn't that bad, really 😆 The story was written in the 19s century, minimum 400 years after the plague epidemic, and her doctor was also in the story and he looked normal.
This doll is so amazing!!! Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but the amount of thought, detail, and effort you put into every single aspect was incredible to watch. Just subscribed!

She is gorgeous! I especially loved crowns ❤
the time and effort you put into your dolls is mind-boggling. i really enjoy watching you sew doll clothes, because i sew doll clothes too, but i try to avoid hand sewing as much as possible lol. and yes, fray check is a total game changer!
the doll is gorgeous, the outfit gorgeous, and then you also sculpt three tiny rat heads with crowns? that really brought her to the next level. great work as usual!

Thank you for sharing your amazing thoughts with us, everything you do is always so beautiful, the attention you put to every detail of what you are making is fascinating. You have an incredible mind that makes all of these incredible projects. Watching your videos makes me happy because it’s not just music on the background while you work on the doll, it’s you talking to us and let in us in to how you think. Again thank you for doing what you do and doing it amazingly. May this year brings you lots of great things.
I appreciate the kind comment, thank you so much! I thought may be if I show people my train of thought, it could inspire someone else too, or help them create their own designs 😁
I hope this year will bring you all the best too 💖
She's stunning! The details you put into her are amazing!
I so appreciate your attention to detail. It is a pleasure to watch you work.
You amaze me. Your rat queen is distinguished and perfectly elegant. I love that you take the time to teach us how you do things that I would never think of. Have a most wonderful new year, and may the officer that comes to check on you be not only handsome but kind and godly ❤
Helloooooo!!! Glad to see you again! 😁 thank you so so much for your support! I hope you're doing well 💖
Hey, love your Rat Queen, she is gorgeous. Also, i've seen other doll creators use layers of pastels for the joints. That may help with the chipping.
Thanks!
And pastels also chip off pretty easy. Not everyone tells about it, but everyone has this problem. Sometimes pastels might be even worse, because they have pretty bad coverage, and you have to layer them a lot, which increases friction in joints and makes it chip off even faster.
She is simply stunning! You are an incredible artist. Every detail is perfect 😊❤❤❤
Thank you so much 🥰
very beautiful, i love the rats on her head! and the clothes are so perfect and neat!
@@JustAnotherBuckyLover I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you will get better soon! 🦾
@@DollAfterlife Thank you... me too! ☺
The make up looks so so good!
Oh it wasn't that bad, really 😆 The story was written in the 19s century, minimum 400 years after the plague epidemic,
and her doctor was also in the story and he looked normal.
@@DollAfterlife Oh shit, fair. Well still, there wasn't that great of medicine yet.
Your work is always so excellent! Such a beautiful doll!
@@momszycat4148 thank you so much!!! 😍😍
