Your 700 is a awesome machine & got some cool tracks. If I had to replace my XR650r the GASGAS ES700 would be the only bike. I only ever change gears on my XR by doing quick shift "no clutch" & never had any issues & more of instance gear change feels better & I'm yet to inspect the clutch & clutch plates. I find the technology your bike has is amazing but could there be a software upgrade to the quick shifter so it would work directly with a gear change input. Have fun on your weapon keep on posting future videos on your 700. Cheers mate
just a tip to fold all 4 edges of your licence plate over so there is no sharp edges this way if you ever lay the bike over with your leg back it wont cut you! especially with the angle the plate is at this can cause severe injury
Thanks, but I went with the B&B off-road bash plate and step drilled a heap of holes in it to lessen the noise ,which worked. I also have read/seen some Axp failures on the 690/700 in particular, where the rear plastic mounts are snapping off, so I went the safe route.
They are both the KTM 690 Enduro....you can put Swedish or an Eye*talian dress on a pumpkin....but its always an Austrian pumpkin. The evolved LC4 is an engineering marvel.....Motoz man. great vid!
Great reveiw mate , you have all the mods i am looking at getting . With the coober ecu, does it fix the snatchy throttle ? I have tried two fuel dongles, and they both did not fix it .
Yes, I went down one tooth, much better… If I was doing a long trip like desert I’d just throw the oem back on, but for normal rides it’s great now, it’ll still sit on 110kph easy
Good review mate, you raised a few interesting points there about the quick shifter, I couldn't agree more. It's my first bike fitted with one (2020, 701 Enduro LR) it's taking a bit to get used to. Often I'd love to be just be able to flick a switch and shut off everything, seems more of a hindrance than anything else at times. I might have to fit the stronger shifter spring to stop the false neutrals too. I have been thinking about putting on a 14 tooth sprocket but have heard it revs too high on the highway, its sounds like it's not that bad from what you say. How is it sitting on around 120km/hr? Are the Gas Gas oem tires TKC80's?, they look like them. Heard some pretty good things about the Motoz Tractionator RallZ. Hard to get hold of over here in Europe and pretty expensive if you can. What's your thoughts on them?
Hi, I love “rally race”tyres, either Pirelli or Michelin versions, for longer rides, but for around the local area upto 200klm radius I just throw on a Dunlop 952 rear and Michelin enduro front, they only last about 1/3 the distance but! They cost 1/3 the price.
Also I don’t believe that a 14tooth would bother your bike at 120kph , even 5500rpm is nothing to worry about on these 690 base engines, but if you are heading away on a long trip that has long hours of high speed, it only takes 15 minutes to change it out.
Sorry for the late reply mate, I just missed your comment, I got the Coober Lm ecu direct from Coober.eu , it takes about 2 weeks to Australia , I guess it’s worth noting the ecu is working fantastically with no codes.
Im in between getting a Cr300l and es700.. Different beasts i know but its what i can get my hands on pretty much. For just gravel roads and exploring, whats your take?
Hi, it all depends on your skill level really, the Crf300 is NOT powerful but it’s brilliant once setup (suspension) ecu /exhaust, but the Es700 is such a bargain right now, I believe the Es700 definitely needs a fuel module to get it richer and a wings muffler.
@@raffs_adv Thanks. Looking at s crf300 with yss suspension already installed and a moto-x full exhaust. Will do the Ecu and air mods straight away if i get it. Still about 2000usd cheaper than a es700 with just an exhaust. Coming from a exc450 and TM 144 twostroke. Need to get a plated Bike to explore our Woods :)
Tons of power, tons of torque.. you can tractor all day.. you won't be disappointed mate.

@@kenbotham8222 Hi , I’m not sure about any software updates or anything like that, but It’s a fun bike with plenty of power.

2:48 same as the husky 701 mate ,light on TC off ,same as the ABS mate .
1:05 AXP do a bash plate for the gas gas mate ,adventure spec ,basically anything that fits the husky 701 will fit the gas gas mate 👋🤠👍

To be honest, it’s way better but, I had a. 2017
701 that run better, I think the G2 throttle was a good upgrade, it’s just way smooth to use.
Did you change the front sprocket??

@@raffs_adv great info, thank you so much for getting back to me ✌️
what handlebar protection do you have?
Hi, I use Barkbusters, it’s a Australian company.
Did you install the quiet db killer in the Wings exhaust or the louder one?
@@Gen-X.Adventures Hi, it’s got the twin hole db killer in it, I couldn’t stand the noise without it.
Agreed, thank you

Nice review. Which is the difference regarding the mpg with Coober module?
@@laurentiudogaru6596 To be honest, I haven’t checked the mpg , but I have seen 260klm to the fuel light riding pretty quickly.
@@raffs_adv thanks for the answer. It seems that is roughly the same fuel consumption.
