Thank you for inspiring me in so many levels. I just mailed my first batch of 70 handmade cards for Hospitalized Children. The process was fun and gave me a reason of hope and purpose.

Very cool cards. I used to save all my scraps and be super economical with my card stock and patterned papers and didn’t buy embellishments but I was drowning in scraps, I was tired of my patterned papers and it took forever to figure out a card that was pleasing. I stopped creating cards as a result. Now I buy embellishments and use them. I put scraps in recycling. I use the patterned papers that please me and recycle the rest or pass them on. My mind is much more creative and I enjoy making cards again. LOL I only buy when items are on sale. And i do keep scraps that are at least three by four. To each their own. I always enjoy your videos. I love hearing your thought process.

Thank you for your kind words! I don't use every tiny scrap normally but I know some people like to hear ideas for really and truly using up a whole paper pad so I thought I would share an idea for that in this particular video. Sometimes trying to use up every last bit makes me more creative and sometimes it stifles me so I don't stress about doing either and just go where my creativity takes me on any particular project.

Wonderful set of cards! It’s always fun seeing how others use up 6x6 paper pads. I love that you donate your cards to kids and add a joke inside each one. I’m sure it brightens their day. I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

I'm binge watching your videos out of order, so forgive me for being so late to the party :-) You said you wondered how these videos best help us, whether its your thought process, assembling, etc. I'm at a point where my craft room is going to burst if I don't start using things up! I like your videos for 3 reasons: you show how to use the paper pad to its full potential, you sometimes show how to use up other things from your stash, and I like to hear how you handle the tricky parts of the paper. I like to play around with layout rather than use sketches but some papers truly challenge me! I'm also not as bold with pattern as you are, but I can easily substitute with card stock colors. I loved the video with the SSS kit using the stamps and tags along with the paper. Though I had no interest in that kit, it helped me figure out how to apply things from my stash to the card designs. I used to buy a ton of 6x6 pads and then not use them. Trying to fix that now, and you've encourage me to try to use up other things in the process like ribbon, epoxy dots, etc. I'd like to see you tackle a paper pad, like from Michael's, that doesn't have cut apart.

I love seeing the whole process and hearing what you were thinking as you made the cards. It has made making my own cards an easier process. You are one of the few channels I watch all the time because I can knit and crochet while watching. Go down to the craft room and make some cards of my own using your tips and tricks.

Hi Rebecca! Glad to hear that you find the blog post helpful. They can be a bit time consuming but I know there's always a handful of people who appreciate the extra info and a chance to just see the finished designs.

I am newer to your channel and just wanted to say I loved all of your commentary. I think using cardstock layers instead of foam tape is a great idea! I also love how you’ve shown beautiful designs can be created with minimal supplies. I’ve used strips of paper on the inside of a card, but never thought about layering them under the sentiment. Thank you for sharing your jokes and providing such beautiful inspiration!
