    I think you should have included CiB Crisis with and without Overcharge, same as all other Hazardous Weapons.

    back when I played, I ran a full crisis flamer team with a commander with no weapons just to reroll wounds. the first time I blew up Robots with them the guy was stunned. good times. (who am I kidding, the Tau get no love)

    I’m kind of surprised Kroot didn’t make the list vs Guardsman/Aledari profile - was this purely shooting rather than combat? As Kroot feel great vs guardsman for shooting at rapid fire then charging!

    Breachers being in nearly every list was very interesting! They really are a beast of a unit
    Surprised crisis with CIBs didn't appear more, those seem to be staple in every list i've seen recently

      Yeah, I’m not sure why that is, but I’m guessing that it’s because they weren’t overcharged

      @@InvasiveWargaming that is exactly why, 7/1/1 is an awkward profile, but efficiency doesn't matter at 64 shots.

      Over charged should be in this really don't know it isnt

      Breachers do well from this type of analysis because it always assumes they are in range and it does not include the cost of a Devilfish which is required to get them where they need to be to apply their great firepower. If you looked at the whole package of cadre fireblade, Breachers and Devilfish you are looking at 205 points and the Devilfish doesn't add much firepower.
      However the pure firepower analysis does also not include Breachers being able to Reroll to wound against targets on objectives, their sizable OC number for the whole package or that the Devilfish helps the Breachers survive better till later on the game (they are nuts when guided under Kauyon).
      At least one Breacherfish (as it's being called) is a stable in most competitive lists and I would definitely recommend them.

    I think I'll have to get through these results and compare them to how each unit's efficiency is described in the lore.
    Will they match, or has GW screwed it up?
    * The Hammerhead, by lore T'au's primary AT asset, doesn't show up at all.
    * With its limited ammo capacity the Sky Ray (when used properly by lore) should by default only fire one missile at each target, rarely as many as two and never more than that. I assume that's taken into the calculations here?

    • @InvasiveWargaming
      @InvasiveWargaming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The skyray is no longer limited in its number of shots.

      @@InvasiveWargamingI would be interested to see the analysis of broadsides, Railgun hammerheads and Skyrays analysis against vehicles, ie. the main target they are taken for and the target they are best at (and an area the rest of the tau army is not that efficient at).
      My calculations for the hammerhead puts it better than the Skyray over the game due to the +1 to hit vehicles and the 2 extra (once use) seeker missiles shots that also get the +1 to hit vehicles. Even against FLY vehicles they are on par. I also like that the hammerhead front loads the damage with the 2 seeker missile shots.

    Did you take seeker missiles into account for units that can bring them?

    • @InvasiveWargaming
      @InvasiveWargaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only if they had enough to fire an average of one each turn, then they had them. Otherwise no. So no seeker for piranhas in this.

    Do breachers with fireblade do anything vs the Leaman Russ datasheet? Might be a typo

    • @InvasiveWargaming
      @InvasiveWargaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For their points, they are about half as efficient as a broadside against leman Russ. It’s a volume of fire thing, plus being s6.

    SHouldn't you ALWAYS overcharge CIB and it outdoes like,e very othe roptioni nt he game??

    • @rmgaminguk7079
      @rmgaminguk7079 ปีที่แล้ว

      Overcharging should be decided on a case by case basis. In my opinion CIB is only a bit behind the top weapon choices when not overcharged and massively better when overcharged.
      In a lot of scenarios overcharging all CIBs will massively overkill the target so some if not all CIBs should not be overcharged and the target will still die. However when needed, and particularly when guided under Kauyon, the overcharge profile is essential to have as an option. Just don't kill crisis suits from overcharge early against non crucial targets. Don't overcharge to obliterate a screen losing 2-3 crisis suits to overcharge to then have a smaller unit to fire at a key unit later under Kauyon.
