Trif is truly the politician of YuGiOh. Does his best to speak extremely eloquently. Makes the most outrageous hyperbolic claims about the given topic (in this case his decklists). I think that Trif's biggest strength is that he builds decks in ways that aren't the standard, and he thrives in format where combo decks are strong and he has a lot of wiggle room in his decklist to adjust it with peculiar choices that work for him (like tons of extenders/starters, board breakers etc).
Honestly being so mindful of your own strengths and playstyles you excel at is a kinda underrated skill, a lot of people try to optimize a decklist in a vacuum (which isn't a bad approach) but being able to fine tune a decklist to your playstyle needs while taking into account the meta is really impressive.

All I know how to do anymore is activate engage, it's been so long. I don't know what yugioh is anymore. The other day, I activated RotA and tried to draw another card after I searched. Everything has become sky striker to me. There are no other spells, no monsters other than Raye. The only trap i know how to activate is impermanence. Occasionally I negate something in its column, and I cry a little. I attack for game but wish I was being gamed instead. It's become a joke of sorts, or maybe it's just my life. I can't go anywhere without seeing strikers. I went to feed my dog the other night, but instead of eating she summoned a 1500/1500 token. I had to put her down. I sit in the corner now counting down the days, the days where we shall see sweet release from this torment, the day when link summoning was about multiple monsters having a special bond and creating something beautiful. Those days are long gone. I have seen God, and I have seen the devil, but they are one and the same. I stared into the abyss and screamed, and it screamed back: "kagari add engage"

You know they say all decks are created equal, but, you at look at my deck and you look at your dexk and you can see that statement is not true! See, normally if you go one-on-one you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I’m a gifted duelist and I’m not normal. So you got a twenty five percent at best at beat me! And then you add Appalosa to the mix The chances of winning drastically go down. See you got a thirty three and a third chance of winnin now But I got a sixty six and two-thirds chance of winning, cuz my opponent knows he can't beat me and he’s not even gonna try.”

Trif in all honesty probably has no clue how he was breaking these boards or at least he can’t recreate it in his mind so he brags about it, but can’t explain it.

@@jelasby2809I would say the same too, I brag but I won't be able to tell how (cause it's hard to explain or I either went through a hundred matches to forget how I won over it), but if I have a replay I would gladly share how I won certain match ups.

When almost every card is a starter, your only brick hands are overdrawing into your same named HOPTS. It doesn't take an entire video to explain that unless you're trying to be as entertaining as this dude.

I have wet dreams of Triff classifying for Worlds. He goes undefeated out of the camera, then arrives at the finals with the reveal that he is playing “Pendulum Best Deck.”
It will not happen, but it would be the best moment in Yugioh History.
