Oct 2024 will be my first full marathon but i am not confident enough to finish it because i was suffering running 21km. I'm glad i saw this video. Now i can start from scratch again, to increase my cadence, and lower my heartbeat to build the endurance. i didn't build any muscle nor climbing steep hill. now i would add those in my training list. i really want to do this full marathon, i must change myself and work it out. thanks for your guidance !
I've entered the Sydney Half in May and the Sydney Marathon in September. 39 weeks to my big goal. 🏃🏻♀️🏅 c25 was ineffective. Then the Nike RC had me down to a slow shuffle and my running gait and pace regressed significantly. Yours is a much better plan! Looking forward to starting again with your plan this week. 🎉❤
I'm doing Run Shellharbour in May and the Sydney Marathon in September... doing it with my uncle who is coming down from Boston. I can't wait, but last year I got injured as I had to upgrade from the half to the full, and got pf.. and gained a bit of excess weight, so it's my goal now to shed the weight and get back into running again properly. I miss being 85kg. Lol. My Syd Marathon last year was given to my husband who did it with little to no training - just pure stubbornness.
Hurt my shoulder so I signed up for the OC and the San Diego Rockin Roll Marathon next may, not a bad goal before my 48th BDay in April, and you get it the video was spot on I dig what you’ve done.
This is a great plan! I’ve looked up a lot of marathon training plans and they all look so complicated and way too specific. I love this because it’s simple and easily adjustable to my ability. Thank you so much! I’m starting tomorrow!
So appreciate this! Will turn 50 in February 2025 and want to run my first marathon this spring. I love sport but my back hurts so much after 45 mins. Looking forward to trying your plan.
This is good advice for getting to your goals. I think what I would add is keep it fun. For most of us it for fitness and not standing on podium, although that would be nice. Cheers
Nice training plan. Is it available in the mottiv training app, or is this just a short recap of a method to attack the goal of completing a marathon 😅
Ive been walking for 2 hours most days since start of year. I do a 10% incline. Id like to start running but think the inpact might hinder me from this volume. Any recomendations? Running looks so cool but my goal is weightloss at the moment. Maybe onece i decide to shorten walks when i pick up weight lifting again ill add running in.
I'm in my third week, but it's hard. 4 days a week, I thought "I can do that, 4 days it's easy". The weather has been bloody awful. Gales from storm Henk followed by cold North winds (2 degrees, but with wind chill minus 3). But I'm still sticking with the plan. Hopefully the worst of the winter is behind, but if not, then to quote Judge Judy "Suck it up".
Hi Taren, I have just started doing jogging and my heart rate is like 165, 170 consistently in my 25-30 minutes of run. how can I improve with this low fitness level?
I recently started running at age 34 as well. Not so much working for a marathon yet but I have been training for 5k and just ran a 19:30 a week ago! Working for a 10k now (16 weeks) so I can slowly add my weekly mileage up before jumping into a marathon plan….. after the 10k I’ll do half marathon.

Good luck to everyone that trains from this. It will be a hard journey but the feeling you’ll get when you complete it will be incredible!

Nice idea to improve... what would be the right adjustment for those of us that live in a hard winter environment to do any hike
Amazing video, thanks for sharing! I will try out this program 🎉

You should probably look up Squat University to see if there're any imbalances that you can do some simple exercises to lessen the pain.
Good luck.

I’d suggest biking or doing the elliptical machine

What about starting in age of 34? I really want to achieve a marathon this year (I’m doing sports for years but weights not runing)
@@JDC1230Great attitude💪🏾, 34 is so young.

@@zjcollins90 wow 5K under 20min is crazy!
see you in 6 months, will update
How do you get from a 2.5 hour jog to a marathon? Is that jump in distance ok if I'm only running ~16 miles in 2.5 hours?
Yeah seems ok, you just be running for about 4-5 hours
First marathon is November 2nd 🏃🏻
Need an update how is it going?
