Dany works hard to get the emotion correct that Pau was experiencing when she wrote this song... it is about a childhood friendship breaking up... basically the story is that someone said something like, "come hang out with us. that band thing won't go anywhere. why are you wasting your time?" well, you can imagine how that went over... TWA like to joke that the moral of the story is "Don't upset Pau or you may be memorialized in a song" 😹 this animated video was done by Webtoon, a South Korean digital comic platform, after getting permission from both, DPA/TW and Graveweaver, the creator of "I am the Grim Reaper"... neither had any idea what it would be about or how it would be done... there are three additional videos that go with this one, too... one from each of DPA/TW and Graveweaver reacting to this video and one of both, DPA/TW and Graveweaver hanging out together on a zoom call(?) talking about this video and the web based "graphic novel" (otherwise known as a digital comic)... seeing her comic animated like this certainly surprised Graveweaver! i understand that "I'm the Grim Reaper" is also now being printed as an actual comic book due out in 2024... Maybe im wrong but my feeling with this lyric is "im anger i know what wrong u r im stronger than that" but in the middle of the song you just collapse in sadness asking for help. I have experienced that transition in which you know you are strong but there comes a point when you just want to cry.

As much as I appreciate "The Warning" I have to admire the work for this animation. This is so so much work and Graveweaver included also the band in it. Did you happen to see the reaction from DPA about it? To say they like it is a little bit of an understatement. Yes, there is still art, talent and passion for the things you do on this planet, may it be in tones or in colors ;) .

I love this song but hate that it reminds me of my feelings about my ex. Especially the mayday part, if I let myself continue thinking down that path. Now years later I can recognize the bad thinking and stop it before it takes me down.

I think that this song was therapeutic for Pau. It is exactly the "shouting it out" you were talking about.
