I met him and Jeff Lutz at SEMA back in November, he really is a genuinely good guy and loves his fans. He was super friendly and spoke with my friend and I like we were his peers and offered to take a picture without us asking.
Clay Millikan definitely is a class act. He’s always up. Team owner Rick Ware is obviously the man behind the money and he makes this stuff happen. A really big deal for Bradenton too. Hopefully this will be an annual event. Great coverage by 1320, as usual.👍👍🇨🇦
It won’t because it’s ran by the NHRA that wants to screw everybody over. Even at private non-NHRA events they step in just like they did at sick week and restrict people from running faster than certain times if they don’t PAY THE NHRA to do so. If you want progress for the sport you have to help get rid of the NHRA.
I've been a fan of Clays since his IHRA days. This event was basically a test session that had a big payoff. If the way he's running is any indication, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with in the 2024 season.
Have been to top fuel drag races as a kid with my dad and it's like NOTHING else on the planet. Will never forget that time with him. To all the dads (and moms too), if you want to share something with your kid(s) that they will NEVER forget, this is it!
Lol, not enough thumbs up to express how cool it is to see this. So cóol. 60 year old mechanic I'm tears I'm so jazzed. THANKS... Ahh the memories. Big ars smile here .
So badass of Victor to gist this event right when construction of the houses is taking place. This track needs no stop support and hist as many events as it can while people are buying those houses.
Team Millican has the support of every car guy watching and making TH-cam videos. Seems like the most genuine dude who’s just out there having a blast. Absolutely love it
Havent been too into top fuel or anything, but now after Cleets video as well as this one, I'm definitely team Millican from here on! What a positive and stand-up dude, hes just awesome
If you never been to a nhra drag racing event and you drag race you dont love drag racing its the most amazing thing to do and experience a bucket list thing you should do you wont regret it!!
Man, Clay is just a very humble and all-around good dude. I'm glad he did so well! It was really cool to see Jeff Lutz on the team as well. Legend helping legend! That Cleetus livery though...
Live right there. Been going to that track and NHRA events my whole life. This was the coolest event for drag racing I’ve ever been to. And I’ve never seen that many people at that track. Ever.
I went to one of the pros drag events back in 22 and I knew I wanted to pursue automotive technology so seeing those engines up close when I walked the pits was amazing can’t wait to do it again this summer
I've been around these a good amount over the years and the first time I went to see 4 wides at Zmax it was beyond anything I had ever experienced. I ended up nearly dropping my phone trying to record it... all of the stadium seats basically start vibrating and some internal organs decided to try to change places with each other. I can't wait to go again!
What an awesome day. First time in 20 years that I've been to a nitro race. I'll definitely be going to every shootout from here on out. Have fun at Daytona Fred.
I’m so glad my dad was able to see Clays win at Route 66 before he passed away… We were going nuts!! Clays second win of the year came the weekend after he passed and I knew dad was up there smiling somewhere!
Pro Stock be like "we bought into the P.R.O. series because of F.o.m.o. (missing out)and now apparently we have to take care of the 1320 vid group to get a mention that we were racing too." 😂😂 I'm kidding, I get it, the NHRA isn't in your guys wheelhouse but the video is appreciated.
This looked like a ton of fun! Great job guys! I must say, as a content creator, I was terrified hearing all the background music playing. Hopefully its ok.
You guys should make your way up to New Hampshire for some drag racing. Especially from 15 feet away the asphalt. Awesome track and would love to see you guys up here one day!
Great job by 1320 as always. Right at the heart & soul of drag racing. I’m as diehard an NHRA fan as they come. If they weren’t taking notes from this video, and the rest of the coverage, they’ve failed.
Itonic that some independent and lower budget footage is more real too watch than NHRA official footage. I would rather hear someone in the starting line with a smartphone distorting over the NHRA announcer jawing away over the sound of the cars. Thanks 1320.
I wish more of these events would take place. I know top fuel drivers make decent money but these type of events would make the drivers and teams more motivated to win and put on a great show. The NHRA does put on a good show but they only go to certain tracks and this could really get more people going to races closer to their homes by going to tracks that are off the beaten path. I know this track isn’t just some random place but not everyone can travel real far for a NHRA sanctioned event.
I think with the week Clay had leading up to the finals will pay off way more than 250,000 I think Clay had a million dollar week at the very least hell maybe more!
Absolutely Loved Having The Great Folks of 1320Video with us at the Shootout!!! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you clay!
Networking with all the young guys is how you bring new fans to the sport. Great job Clay!
Thank you 1320video, excellent coverage! I follow Clay, but happen to come across this incredible video. Thank you again!
You are awesome Clay! Keep after it!
Your an amazing guy clay keep up the good work you have a great team behind u
Ive been going to NHRA events for 25 years and this last week by far is more coverage and excitement than ESPN has ever shown.
I can agree with that and I am 54.
I thought the same thing.
Were you there?
Clay became every TH-cam car channels best friend...
Not hard to do when you’re such a genuine good guy….
I met him and Jeff Lutz at SEMA back in November, he really is a genuinely good guy and loves his fans. He was super friendly and spoke with my friend and I like we were his peers and offered to take a picture without us asking.
NHRA owes Clay a serious Christmas bonus!
He's been hanging with most of these TH-camrs for years.
Clays a Legend
Brent is contagious with positivity
Yep, I’m sick with it 😂
He's literally the best. 😂
His attitude is pure awesomeness in any situation. love that guy!!
I think he did some nose candy😂

Clay Milliken = Class Act

I'm glad Clay is getting some exposure, what a nice guy and positive image for the sport.
Knocking this coverage out of the park ...
Really, dig it.
Well done.
Clay Milliken is what we need more of. Not just in racing, but just in general.
If this race doesn't grow popularity in the sport, idk what will
It won’t because it’s ran by the NHRA that wants to screw everybody over. Even at private non-NHRA events they step in just like they did at sick week and restrict people from running faster than certain times if they don’t PAY THE NHRA to do so. If you want progress for the sport you have to help get rid of the NHRA.
Sadly the EPA is against this beautiful sport 😢
Also would like to thank Rick Ware Racing. This is something I’ve never seen before.
I've been a fan of Clays since his IHRA days. This event was basically a test session that had a big payoff. If the way he's running is any indication, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with in the 2024 season.
Same here. Was 12 when I first met him. He was racing in IHRA. Been following him now for 19 years.
Have been to top fuel drag races as a kid with my dad and it's like NOTHING else on the planet. Will never forget that time with him.
To all the dads (and moms too), if you want to share something with your kid(s) that they will NEVER forget, this is it!
I have good memories of racing NHRA with my father as a kid.
Agree with you.
Memories I will never forget.
Shows how much sponsors keep these teams afloat in the season.
Braedenton seems to consistently have some of the best track prep of all the tracks I see on TH-cam
Thanks 1320. Without a doubt the best coverage of the event .
Lol, not enough thumbs up to express how cool it is to see this. So cóol. 60 year old mechanic I'm tears I'm so jazzed. THANKS... Ahh the memories. Big ars smile here .
A showcase of the best in the business! Brought to you by the best in the business, 1320 Video!! Thank you 1320!!!
So badass of Victor to gist this event right when construction of the houses is taking place. This track needs no stop support and hist as many events as it can while people are buying those houses.
Hopefully they invited the existing new neighbor to a free ticket to the festivities.
Try the win the bees over with honey approach in the process.
That look in Clay's eye it's just like a kid in a candy store so happy for him doing the thing he loves.
Brent was aggressively happy at the start 😂
Almost scared me😂
He sure was, the golden lab has some teeth!
Cocaine is hell of a drug
@@pharmztkonever touched it . adrenaline is a hell of a drug 😂
@@pharmztkoAh yes cuz if a man enjoys life it's totally drugs.

Everyone needs a friend like Brett
Havent been too into top fuel or anything, but now after Cleets video as well as this one, I'm definitely team Millican from here on! What a positive and stand-up dude, hes just awesome
We need more private top fuel events like this. Maybe ole cleet and clay could make something happen 🤔
fred said micheal schumacher 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 buddy thats f1... this is the sarge tony schumacher
And Michael is slightly out of the competition scene.
Blame it on the nitro fumes Fred!
If you never been to a nhra drag racing event and you drag race you dont love drag racing its the most amazing thing to do and experience a bucket list thing you should do you wont regret it!!
I love the sound of the cars backfiring and popping during decel
Victor is killin it folks!!!!
Clay seems like the coolest dude in the world, very humble and happy to be racing! Awesome guy!
Watching from Canada! I always tune in to CLEETUS and now follow Clay on TH-cam......I've been waiting for the 1320 coverage of this event!
What a champion of a human being, thank you Clay!
Love seeing freds reaction when he got invited to the big race this weekend!!
I love experiencing NHRA and this coverage helped Tickle the excitement in my bones. Can't wait to feel that rumble in my bones again
Clay and Brent are amazing. I strive to be more positive like them.
Man, Clay is just a very humble and all-around good dude. I'm glad he did so well! It was really cool to see Jeff Lutz on the team as well. Legend helping legend! That Cleetus livery though...
Thank you guys for helping me find awesome places for shots! It was awesome meeting you guys!
Clay has the most contagious smile
Live right there. Been going to that track and NHRA events my whole life. This was the coolest event for drag racing I’ve ever been to. And I’ve never seen that many people at that track. Ever.
I love how Clay does the el reverso and puts it all on the team. Great guy.
Great footage !! Looks like so much fun.
Need to add coverage of ProStock as well. Very close racing every run.
His positive attitude and huge smile reminds me of my great uncle
I love it when 1320 posts Top Fuel Nitro content! instant watch every time
Shoutout to the owner, Rick Ware. He just made A LOT more people top fuel fans
Yes! Top Fuelers, King of all motorsports!
Glad to see there is some NHRA coverage...the OG of racing.
I went to one of the pros drag events back in 22 and I knew I wanted to pursue automotive technology so seeing those engines up close when I walked the pits was amazing can’t wait to do it again this summer
Clay and Brent are just 2 peas in a pod. Imagine Brent joining Clay's crew team full time
Met Clay at PRI last year, so personable and friendly to literally everybody, awesome guy doing great things
Next time we need more pro stock coverage!!!
I've been around these a good amount over the years and the first time I went to see 4 wides at Zmax it was beyond anything I had ever experienced. How could you not like Clay.. he's the nicest guy in drag racing today
I don't even like cars much but this stuff is pretty cool, great group of people

I miss going to NHRA events and seeing this when they came to Houston Raceway Park(now closed). Seeing this in person blows your mind.
Reminds me of Irwindale in the '70s.
Clay is a great person. Hard not to love him.
1320 ever try selling 1320 branded ear muffs for hearing protection? Level bringing that heat Fred, you're one hell of a broadcaster!
