    Good day! Thank you for sharing your journey to Hungary, especially the ups and downs you encountered.
    I just want to ask if Med Students can also conduct researches during their study?
    I am particularly interested to conduct research related to biotechnology and its application to medicine while studying in there (hoping that I got accepted)
    Lastly, can you tell again the name of the company you mentioned about student loans?
    Thank you very, very much!

      Hey, Med Students can definitely conduct research at the university and some professors recommend that we do, as it looks good for the CV. Plus, it can be used for your thesis as well. I’m not sure if there is an option to conduct research on “biotechnology and it’s application in medicine” specifically but I can try find out for you. From what I understand, different departments in the university have ongoing research opportunities that students can get on board with which would make me assume that the research topics are somewhat pre-determined. If I get more information, I will reply to this comment at a later stage.
      The company for the student loan is called: Díakhitel (Based in Budapest)
      Good luck with everything!

      It is definitely challenging studying medicine in Hungary with the system they use but as long as you work hard, you will be fine

      Hey, I definitely need to try and do this. You not the first person to ask for more regarding the entrance examination. We are starting to get close to our final exam period now so it might be difficult but I will definitely try my best. I would like to get a friend on who did the entrance exam (since I was granted exemption) because I believe that a personal experience will be more valuable then what I could provide. Just need to see if I can find a time where both of us are free. Thank you for your comment and feedback!

    Hey Cameron. Thanks for the video. I’m also South African and applied to University of Pecs and Debrecen. Do you know whether studying at these universities grants an HPCSA accredited medical degree?

    • @CamMedLife
      @CamMedLife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, from what I understand there are certain requirements to be eligible to register with the HPCSA. Notably: A degree from a recognised Medical School, no criminal record, meet the language requirements, pass the HPCSA board exam or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution and a completed internship or similar program that meets their requirements. I personally feel like there is some ambiguity surrounding the equivalence of the board exam over here, I would assume that some kind of transfer board exam would be required after graduating from here but I cannot confirm this and would suggest trying to contact the HPCSA directly to confirm. The other issue is the “Internship or similar program” as I believe this may be referring to the 2 years after your studies where you work at a post in South Africa (Government Hospital). I’m not sure if there would be anything over here that they would consider to be equivalent and I have heard that getting a post in South Africa can be challenging even for those who did complete their studies in South Africa and I would assume they would get preference over someone who studied abroad. Again, I would suggest contacting them directly and asking for clarification. I hope this helps, I wish I could give you more but I never looked into it in depth as I do not plan on returning to South Africa.

      Hey, I’m currently in the middle of my exam period so I’m extremely busy. Had to also hold off on filming for a small while. I hope to get back to making videos soon and I will keep what you have asked in mind. Unfortunately I don’t really know much about Debrecen though as I am in Pécs.

      Hey, from what I’ve gathered from talking to people who did take the entrance exam, there is a written part first and then an oral part. They told me that you get slightly separate content and topics for each that you need to study and familiarise yourself with. You then do the written test online which I have heard was somewhat challenging but definitely doable if you know the work. A similar thing can be said for the oral part which is also online. You will draw a topic or 2 and then have to speak about it and the examiner will ask you some questions. Again, you need to know the content well enough that you don’t go blank regardless of the topic but then it’s about staying calm and not rushing your answers. Hope this helped and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

    Hey bro, great video! Wanted to ask about research opportunities in pecs university, is there any possibilities to be involved in student research, write papers etc?

    • @CamMedLife
      @CamMedLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, thank you! There are research opportunities for sure. The University has a research program with opportunities in various departments whether that be: Internal Medicine, translational medicine and so on…I plan to start a research task next year during my 4th year as I would have then completed both Pathology and Pathophysiology which gives me more foundational knowledge in the field of medicine. Doing research will be helpful for your CV and it can also be used for your thesis which students tend to do in either their 5th or 6th year.
