iKamper Skycamp 2.0 to 3.0 Conversion Kit | CHEAP Rooftop Tent UPGRADE

- Shortly after releasing the new iKamper Skycamp 3.0, iKamper released a "Conversion Kit" allowing owners of the 2.0 to reap some of the benefits of the 3.0 by swapping out their tent canvas and rain fly.
In this video, you'll watch me remove my Skycamp 2.0 canvas/rain fly, and install the Skycamp 3.0 Conversion Kit from the comfort of the Eastern Sierra and Mount Whitney. After the install, we'll cover the cost/benefit of buying the Conversion Kit vs the $4200 Skycamp 3.0, and ultimately find out if I think the Conversion Kit is worth it!

Just found your channel! Nice work! Your jeep is legit. Just moving on from my Gobi Rack and purchased the Maximus 3 plus Rhino Rack Platform for my Ikamper. I didn't like how heavy and chunky the Gobi was, regardless, any issues with fitment of the iKamper on the Rhino Rack? can't seem to find any clear cut answers anywhere else! Thank you!

I have the iKamper 2.0 and I also purchased the Annex. Does the 2.0 annex work with the 3.0 upgrade? Just curious, has anyone you know have the 2.0 tent and are using the 3.0 annex. (3.0 annex has a floor and ground sheet vs 2.0 is open bottom.) I wonder if iKamper or a DIYer does a conversion of the locking straps from 2.0 to 3.0. That would be beneficial to watch and do. Great video, keep them coming.
I want to say I read somewhere that unfortunately the 2.0 stuff isn't compatible with the 3.0, but it might be worth asking the iKamper guys. No idea about the straps but I'd do it in a heartbeat.
