In our valley 34s are the goto for most the year.... 36s are best for summer in the California. 32s maybe for the cold. Should be clear that your temps are Track Temp

Good point. I missed clarifying asphalt when talking about operating temperature. That's the problem when assuming. Hopefully people make the assumptions that the tires contact the asphalt and it will affect the operating temperature.

Harder the compound the softer the foams softer the tire harder the foam and I think that operating temp is for the asphalt and plus the surface is blacktop asphalt has more bite

The surfaces are interesting. This surface at Norcal is somewhat course. But Fresno is smooth in comparison. I think I like the soother surface.
