Funny thing about Etrian odyssey I came across the millennium girl version as a demo on my 3DS, played it to death didn’t know what it really was but I kinda got the gist of the basics, as I got older my boyfriend at the time bought me the full game and let me tell you it’s stressing me out so bad, because for one it was way more complex than what I thought, the demo version lets you get to the third floor and then it stops, once I got to the third stratum, i’ll put that game down for three months, it was so complicated I didn’t know how to get past certain things, I didn’t know how to use the special skills none of that baby I was playing blind as hell, but to this day Etrian odyssey untold the millennium girl it’s still my favorite game to this day as I am turning 23 next month, I beat it so many times, I still play it from time to time, and I’m hoping before they close down the Nintendo shops for the DS in March next year to purchase all of them so I’d have all of them. because it’s your odyssey five was coincidentally my next purchase, I got both of the untold versions and the Nexus version already. it’s crazy because I would have never came across this series, if I wasn’t looking for random games with demos to play.

I remember listening to this exact remix years ago religiously. I wonder why it's popping up with so much popularity right now? I'm not complaining, it's just definitely bringing me back.
For those asking about the art/wallpaper, it looks like one of the strata intro backgrounds, combined with official (though relayively rare; looking online, I can only find it used for promotional wonderGOO phone cards, and the official EOIV art book) art for EOIV of the sniper girl.
They said nexus was the last. But I hope they make a similar series. I dont have a vr headset but would totally get one if they make a first person turn based dungeoncrawler in VR
@@Ghalion666 That's not quite right, they said it would be "the last original entry Specifically on the 3ds". And there is a couple of year old teaser for a future concept a director said that they had a project that might surprisepeople That being said. Y'know.
@@radishhat5736 Yeah, there was a teaser a few years ago that had 5 graves and a bunch of character silhouettes that then had "To the future" or something like that in Japanese that popped up on screen. Not to mention within the last year Altus did state that they're still working on the future of the EO series. I eagerly await the day when that teaser returns and brings us a new title or successor.
It's a pretty good RPG! It has a fun and challenging gameplay, besides being the best start point for your first time with an Etrian Odyssey game. I hope you'll enjoy it, should you pick it up!
I'm gonna be honest, you should play from the very first game, mostly because the later games add quality of life tools that will make gameplay easier, sure that's good but when you want to go back to the earlier games like Etrian Odyssey 1-3 it will be hard to do so. Besides that, I think you should play the first game or EO 3. A lot of great sequels to try out so it will be overwhelming.
It's kind of a good thing these games are a bit underrated, otherwise you could end up stumbling into cringey memes almost every day in your recommendations (looking at you, Fire Emblem Heroes, Arknights, and Genshin Impact fanboys).

Honestly, while EO4 is good, I enjoyed its predecessor (EO3) a lot better. Of course that's just my opinion and I'm not here to offend anyone.

It's a pretty good RPG! It has a fun and challenging gameplay, besides being the best start point for your first time with an Etrian Odyssey game.

EO4 is by far the easiest in the series, so it's a decent starting point, though I honestly think EO3 is the better title, and EON a close second.
