Finally! A million views! Absolutely deserved and yet still criminally underrated. This series has so many great songs that it’s dizzying but hearing this in the teaser trailer that the Crossbell duology would finally make it West officially thanks to help from the Geofront team still makes me tear up. If you are listening to this and have never tried this series, you absolutely should, though perhaps try the Trails in the Sky games first, those are also incredible and you will have so much more context for these games.
I want to share the story of how much this track (both original and SAV) means to me, and how Masanori Osaki and Yukhiro Jindo became two of my favourite composers of all time: Years ago, I was watching some Super Smash Bros. Brawl montages, and in them, D.A.Y./BREAK, Intense Chase (SAV), and this song were amongst the background music used for them. I loved them and would rewatch the videos just to listen to them again, but I never knew where they came from. I particularly liked the montage that used this song, as I thought the melody was phenomenal, and loved the way the guitar and violin switched places after the bass transition from the chorus. Later on, I would find out about the Ys series, and started playing Ys VIII. I loved the game, and decided to look into the series a bit more. I ended up finding out about where D.A.Y./BREAK came from; Ys VS. Trails in the Sky, and learnt about the Trails series then. I also heard Innocent Primeval Breaker for the first time, but had no idea who made the songs because I wasn't familiar with any of the composers at the time; it would turn out all four were from both Osaki and Jindo, but I wouldn't learn this until much later. Becoming interested in the Trails series, I looked into it more and found out the series was all interconnected, something I hadn't experienced before in video games. I was initially going to start with CS3 because I wanted to experience what it was like to feel like I was missing out on a ton of lore and to truly feel how big the Trails world was (yes, really, I know I'm strange 😆), but ultimately I decided to just play the traditional way and started with CS1, as that was the most accessible to me at the time and I heard it was a great starting point. I loved both it and CS2, taking note of how great Falcom music was due to both games and Ys VIII, and decided to go back and play the Sky games after CS2. Going through Sky, I recognized Silver Will from a Fire Emblem mod I had watched a playthrough of on TH-cam shortly after Ys VIII and before CS1, and was ecstatic to hear the original song in its original context. I also took note of how great the music in Sky was, and thought "Hey, this company makes some pretty good music!". Eventually, I finished Sky the 3rd bawling my eyes out, and ready to go into Crossbell. Going through Zero, I loved the soundtrack, and I was anticipating the kind of music that I would end up hearing. I loved the different styles of music that had been represented throughout the series, and was eager to hear more. And eventually... I heard the opening notes of the original Inevitable Struggle. I immediately recognised those notes as the song I loved from those Brawl montages, long ago. Even if it was a different version, I knew it was the same song. Words cannot describe the feelings I felt in that moment. It has to be one of my favourite experiences in a video game, if not my absolute favourite. It was at that moment I truly realised what I had known for a long time; Falcom music truly is special. During the race, I recognised Intense Chase as well, and was happy to hear it again. I didn't have the special feeling that hearing Inevitable Struggle in-game for the first time gave me, but it was still a great feeling, and further confirmed how special Falcom music was to me and many others. Going through the game more, I got to hear this theme more, and each time it played I loved it even more. It really enhanced all of the scenes it played during; the battle against Yin, the battle against Garcia, the desperate struggle to defend the IBC, the first phase of the final boss... Like with Silver Will, I was immensely grateful to hear the song I loved so much be played in its original form, in its original context. Eventually, I completed the game, and started playing Azure. I was floored again by how great Azure's music was, and wondered why it took me so long to discover such a wonderful series with such wonderful music. I loved how the story was progressing in Azure, more so than any other Trails game, which is no easy feat. I was eager to see it through to the end. Eventually, after many twists and turns... I heard this version play in-game. I didn't think it would be possible for the same song to blow me away a second time, particularly a version of a song I had first heard such a long time ago, but it did. It most certainly did. And it was a glorious moment. Again, every time it played afterward made me love it even more. Escaping the prison, rescuing the MacDowells, Wald and Wazy settling things once and for all, Rixia avenging her maimed friend... This track made those moments just so amazing. Like with Silver Will, I prefer the original Inevitable Struggle, but I love this version as well, and I think this version fits more with how it's used in Azure; whilst the original is desperate, emotional, and hype-inducing, this version is more subdued, melancholic, and resolute; fitting with the circumstances surrounding the events of Azure. I think both versions are special, and play their parts in-game well. After finishing the game, I was floored at everything that had happened. I decided to listen to the soundtracks of the games I had played, and learnt about the composers who breathed life into these games. I eventually found out that those Brawl tracks I had loved so much, were all composed by Masanori Osaki and performed by Yukihiro Jindo and the jdk band. I was amazed at how they could routinely make such amazing music. I was saddened to learn that Azure was Osaki's very last game at Falcom, with his songs in later games being leftovers. On the other hand, I was very happy to learn Jindo was still arranging/composing for Falcom, and learnt that he composed some of my favourite songs in Ys VIII and CS1/CS2. I also learnt that Masaru Teramae (the guitarist for many of Jindo's performances) was part of Demetori, a Touhou arrange group I loved. Being a huge fan of Touhou music, this was such a great discovery for me. And so, Masanori Osaki & Yukihiro Jindo became two of my favourite composers of all time, and this song in particular became one of my favourite songs of all time. If by some miracle either Osaki and/or Jindo sees this, I just want to say... Thank you, Osaki. Thank you, Jindo. Thank you so much, for introducing me to such a great franchise, for making such wonderful music that touches the hearts of so many people, for making amazing games even greater, and for helping me throughout many difficult times with your phenomenal music. I wish you all the best. And if you've listened to me ramble on about my feelings, thank you as well. It's an extremely long comment, and I both respect you and am immensely grateful if you bothered to read all of it. I hope all of you have an amazing day! 😊

I hope it'll be something like this Team Liberl fights this boss then Team Crossbell and so on without any stops! Then for every leader of each team a super arranged version of the awesome battle song plays (Silver Will, Inevitable Struggle, etc) With the crossing paths of the Kiseki games there's so much possibilities!

I don't blame you if you don't get a PC though, the prices on graphics cards right now are really high. Alternatively the 1st two Sky games are on PSP in English, The 3rd isn't and I would recommend to play that at some point for sure. They are also on PS Vita as a remake but hacking in a translation might not be doable without a PC, maybe there's a way with Android though idk. Also if you have an XBox Series S or X you can turn them into a Linux machine and you might find success running them on there, that's a hunch though I've not done research into compatability. At the very least I know you can emulate PSP on there (and also Android if you have that) so you can play some of the Trails games, and there are English translations of the Crossbell games too for PSP (albeit inferior to the GeoFront ones I believe)

Never said I wouldn't. They may be poor replacements but I have been going through Zero with the subpar fantranslation and will do the same for Ao. I would love to play an official localization of them but I won't expect miracles. I just finished Azure today and I can say so far it's the best game in the series for me. Not sure how CS arc will fare but Crossbell arc was insane. What a ride
@@shernjian I just finished Azure too. Hyped to start the next arc in this journey soon! I hope it keeps up the pace these last two arcs have had
@@misterjojo007 I heard almost everyone says that Crossbell arc is the best arc in the series though. Hard for CS to top it I imagine. Trails to Azure deserves at least a 9/10 for sure. Will start CS in July after my JLPT exam. Very tempted to start it now but then I won't have time to study for my exam hahaha. Let me know how CS goes for you
@NSJ93 I’d agree with your ranking of Azure, that final boss theme and whole final sequence is so awesome any ranking lower than an 8 is criminal. Plus we saw the return of my personal favorite Trails character, Kevin. Good luck on the exam! Maybe you can use those skills to play Trails games on release…
@@misterjojo007 thanks. My Japanese is still basic level so I can't play them on release haha. Maybe in a few years time. Reverie is also coming out in July so I can binge all 5 games one shot from CS 1 to Reverie. It's gonna be an intense 1-2 months of gaming! My fav character is Ries and I was bummed that I couldn't play her in Azure. Could have made a team of waifus (Ries, Elie, Rixia & Noel). Not sure if you know this already but I saw some comments regarding Kevin post Azure
(big spoiler)
When it's play when the sss rebuild team is coming to Mishelam Wonderland to save Elie against the jaeger corps while Zeit transform to his "true form" it's Epic !
I feel really invincible when I hear this
You hear violin in Trails and you know is gonna be epic
If Zero no Kiseki gets into smash, this song should get used in the trailer
Keep dreaming lol. it would be dope tho. Hell I would be happy if they just put some of the music in the game
@@Evan-ri4yd sakurai has mentionned Trails in one of his last videos, so if he played it, there's a good chance we get trails rep
wouldnt be too optimistic about it lol@@fen6300
Just had the best idea for a ska arrangement.
That fight and the fragment chapter...
Irine Chemist I know what you mean, I like the fragment chapter
Screw jails
Garcia is such a bro
It also plays during Wald and Shirley's fights.
@@Lennyohh he choked lloyd like any bro that momment
I hope they use this in HAJIMARI NO KISEKI.. since Crossbell team is one of the main group of casts.
Nope,i played hajimari and they used some of the theme , but not this😫
Listening Inevitable Struggle🎵 for fighting games.
What a banger
THIS HAS REACH 1 MIL VIEWS LETS GOOO🔥🔥🔥
My blade is guided by the light I've found in the darkness... While you are only bathed in blood and smoke. You are no match for me.
Listening to this again, so much reminds me of "Rush Out" or "Innocent Primeval Breaker" from Ys Seven.
(This is not a bad thing.)
Sooo totally agree with you!
GEOFRONT PATCH IS OUT MY LADS!!!
Edit: I don't think "patch" is the right word anymore haha...
you are so fertile
Geofront uwu ? want to be my friend ? uwu. I'm so happiiii aaaaaaaaa, GEOFRONT OOMFIE, FINALLY, A GEOFRONT OOMFIE AAAAAAAAAA, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, WANT TO PLAY TRAILS TO AZURE WITH ME OWO ?
@@theanthocraft Who are you ??????????
@@thedarkpikachu8141 SAME NAME OOMFIE ???? OWO
@@theanthocraft DON'T CALL ME OOMFIE, THIEF
Someday, when all main characters and their crew joins up to defeat the Final and Ultimate Kiseki series boss, I hope this song plays.
Too many good ones yes, though I’d kinda think they’ll make an entirely new theme or a track that’s a mash up of all the main melodies/themes of the arcs (Ex. Silver Will/Whereabouts of Light and so on)
I hope it'll be something like this Team Liberl fights this boss then Team Crossbell and so on without any stops! Then for every leader of each team a super arranged version of the awesome battle song plays (Silver Will, Inevitable Struggle, etc)
With the crossing paths of the Kiseki games there's so much possibilities!
@@crowarmbrust1903 tbh pretty sure the best fit for team crossbell would be get over the barrier
I really do hope they played this on climax of Lloyd's route in Hajimari
It'd be impressive if they can make a badass remix of all these epic songs and unite the series under one sympathized banner as everyone gear up to kick some ass
I don't come here daily, nope definetly not.
Wasn't expecting this to play in Kuro, those Calvardian got some taste.
We did it, everyone! Azure is here!
Imagine being a Kiseki fan in the year 2024 and you STILL haven't played the best arc in the entire series, that's so crazy.
@generic name your joke
I know right? People should play Sky already, all the games are available!
If only i have a ps4 to play coldsteel 3 & 4. im so hype to play kiseki series
@@vladimirpamoceno970 everyone has ps4 lol
@@vladimirpamoceno970 A low-mid end PC can play the rest i the series, up to Cold Steel the system requirements aren't too high.
At last the wait is over
I will be listen to this song until death
I just finished playing the last one of them and holy effin’ storyline, character development, music, I mean………so glad my husband would not shut up about them 😂
Donald’s finally back!
best after silver will imo (probably the best if i know the context in game for this music)
there is fan translation of this game (still not polished, but playable) if you want experience this music ingame.. this is prettymuch the the Silver Will of the Crossbell games..
Kevin Hanandi - Major boss fights with strong NON jager (They have their own theme), NON enforcer characters (same as previous). Eg: Garcia in Zero and other charas (will withold spoilers) in Ao.
music tells story, seriously this is my favorite one after playing the fan translated version of zero no kiseki
Yea I just play the fan translated and man this is great

i like music
The last stand we won’t forget
one thing that i hate from this song is that

If only any nightclub would play Trails soundtrack remix, I would jump like crazy in the tune of this song and Get Over the Barrier.

do nada achei teu comentario KKKKKKKKK
The people of Calvard have some wonderful taste to be playing this in one of their nightclubs.
[Minor Kuro Spoiler]
(Context: this plays during Prince Sharid's Connect Event)
Oh wow, they play this version? That's cool
fun fact : it was also played in the tiny shop in front of the Solution Office, your character needs to get close to it

BIG HYPE FOR THE TRANSLATION IN 2 DAYS
on psp is translated since long time
God dammit XSEED, translate already dammit! >.
I'm seriously praying for XSEED to release the Crossbell games for 2019 >.
Zero and Ao english translation was released by fans, and their jobs are outstanding. And you can wait for GeoFront Exterior to re-release Zero with a 100% perfect translation.
I'm fine with fantranslations. All I want is the last two Cold STeel games announced already.
@@LeonGun8 You should probably play the previous games before CS3.
CS3 basically expects you to know all the knowledge of the previous games
And will reference them heavily
Never said I wouldn't. They may be poor replacements but I have been going through Zero with the subpar fantranslation and will do the same for Ao. I would love to play an official localization of them but I won't expect miracles. Hence why I all I ask is for the more attainable goal of a CS3 and 4 localization (seeing as the PS4 isn't obsolete yet and the first two games already were brought over).
This is it. I finally found my last stand music
It'd be intriguing if this plays in azure instead of the orginal version (to show the progression of the s.s.s)
it does in one of the best segments of the game, not gonna spoil it.
I miss the old JDK band so much....
Maaan, I know right?! This is filled with so much heart! ❤️ Love it! The intensity of this music comes from good playing and not chickens
Facts
Well, at least we have some occasional Jindo tracks with some old JDK band members
@@CS2Malk True. And whenever he brings them around the tracks they make are pretty much always bangers.

COMPLICATED FEELINGS!!: the game
Imagine thinking this is bad
It definitely isn't bad, but definitely isn't as impactful as the original. Mainly due to the instruments not being as pronounced as the original.
@@thequincy_ lmao, you just have bad taste.
待たせたな...ショウタイムだ! -スネーク
Man, the rest of its better, but 1:08 just does not scratch that itch of raw panic that the original does.
思、重,想いの眠るゆりかごですかね
I might might see if I can implement this into my gog version of the game and forget i did it. Nobody would be the wiser.
bro when this played in kuro 2 i shat myself lol
