46 years and I had resigned myself to flat dull hair. Stumbled across this video and it has changed my hair game! (And inspired me to do the makeup to go along with it!) Thank you so much!!
OMG I've seen this adorable woman on Pinterest for years and I FINALLY watched a video of her. She is so fun to watch, very informative and cute as hell!!!!
I never would've though you had fine hair. For 30 years I have been experimenting with different products and styling for body and never could get it right. In all of my photos I am the girl with the eternal bad hair day. Thank you so much for sharing your skills. These videos are a blessing!
I love how you give every detail. You don’t edit and fast forward through parts of your video! I just turned 29 and have really thin hair from a thyroid disorder. I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos! 🖤
My hair also became very thin from a thyroid disorder. I try not to let it get me down so I use clip-in hair extension, not for length but for volume. I use the cheaper synthetic ones and nobody knows the difference.
You are the best teacher ever...in my 68 years my hair has never looked so good because of you!!! Thank you so much! Aveda should hire you to train because I have purchased some of their products before and was never really impressed but I just purchased every product you use and my hair is awesome and lasts for days. It is about proper training and their website does not do that.
I love how you don't keep anything to yourself and share every detail! I have thin hair, and very little, a few days ago I tried your blow-drying and it worked! Actually, the next day when I woke up I still had some volume! So thanks for sharing!!
This actually worked for my hair. Good to have a tutorial; watching my stylist work isn't enough education for me. We mortals need repetition to understand technique.
Harmony.... you have taught me so much about hair and make-up. I am 55+ and I needed some tips and tricks for my tired old makeup routine. I have started using the Maskcara makeup because of you have inspired me with your tutorials. Thanks again! I appreciate you!💗
you are thr first person who actually taught me how to do my hair - I am not kidding you. I am 53 and not a girl who has ever understood makeup and hair. I did my hair with volume with your drying technique and a few products that I normally NEVER use. But wow what a difference> Thank you so much.
I followed this tutorial today and my hair had volume all day! It looked so full and had the look of just getting a blowout! Loved it and thankful for your awesome tips!
This is the cut and look I’ve been wanting for years, but for some reason I can’t find a stylist that seems to understand what I want or tell me how to fix it myself. I’m soooo glad you did this, THANK YOU!
You're honestly stunning and you're so so sweet and knowledgeable and I HAVE NEVER EVER been taught how to properly style, flat iron or back comb my hair correctly and the look u created is what I've tried and wanted to achieve my whole adult life (42 years old) until watch this video.. You have saved my life right now!! Plus I have been using smoothing serum etc. all over and I get weighted down like u said!! Luckily I have almost all the Aveda products u used minus a few but I'll get those ASAP!! AGAIN, YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!
She’s totally right about Aveda Air Control Hair Spray. There’s really something about it... I bought it after watching Harmonize Beauty’s vids and thought it may be comparable to my current hair spray and I was totally shocked at the difference.
When you talked about using the volumizing powder, and described having really healthy and smooth hair that teasing just falls out of, you are describing me!! I've never been able to get teasing to hold in my hair, no matter what method, tool, or hairspray I use. I'm going to ask my stylist about this powder, as I go to an Aveda salon. Thank you so much!
I love your way of back combing... I've watched a lot of others do it and they're just making a mess... And ripping away at they're hair... Thanks for sharing your method I LOVE!❤
Just found a brilliant conditioning treatment. Aveda's great, truly is, but if you're on a budget and have damaged ,bleached hair, I just tried L'oreal Ever Pure Hair Sheet Mask. I left it on for about a half hour-game changer! It feels amazing without too much softness. Volume without being stiff-love this stuff.
This video landed in my queue for some reason and I could not be happier. I never know how to describe what I want done to my hair, now I have screen shots. I received a gift certificate for an Aveda hair salon so I will buying some of your hair product recommendation. You are So beautiful and have a great personality. Thank you for this video and details. (Trying to watch and listen to you as hubby is snoring 😂😂😂💤💤💤)
Best tutorials ever! I'm blonde, fine hair, nearly same length/cut as yours and it's def no easy task to pump up the volume. I'm always trying and failing. Thank you for all the tips and how to's. Finding your channel on here is everything. Forever your student.
I just came across this video tonight and Thank You Thank You Thank You ... I have been wanting some volume to my hair but did not know what to do...this is perfect for me and my hair cut...and the fact that I do not wash my hair every day ,this is the answer to my prayers ...again Thank You!
Honey, you could make me buy a hot dog and I don’t eat meat nor do I eat anything processed! I just have a Gramma crush on you! Friday I am FINALLY getting my hair cut like yours and I’m 74! Lolol 🌹
So, I’ve seen tons of tutorials for big hair. Mine is very long and appears to have the same texture as yours. I used your blow out technique and this video tips as well. Omg. AMAZING. My hair looked amazing for THREE DAYS. So worth the extra effort in order to have that fullness for days! Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing your haircut. Took your picture in a salon (I’m a retired hairstylist) and showed the cut I’d like only I didn’t get it. Wish I’d seen this post first. You’re absolutely a pleasure to watch.
OMG you’re the girl from Pinterest that I pin all your hairstyles! I’m sooo happy that you created a TH-cam channel! I feel that you’re the next « Rachel hair movement » where everyone wants your hair cut! Love love LOVE your style! 😍💇🏼♀️
You are so beautiful! I’m so glad I found you here! I’d love to follow you on Pinterest as well! Can’t wait to start trying these awesome techniques! 👍🤗💕
You are the reason that I started on Aveda products. I had a few things from the store that I used by Pantene, but saw you on youtube one day and thought, " I'll just try them". Now I use the Volumizing tonic, Pure abundance hair potion, thickening tonic, texture tonic. Now I've started trying the volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I had a friend years ago who swore by Aveda products, and now I know why.... Oh and their moisturizer for the face is wonderful.... I love it.... Thanks.
I just found you and I'm obsessed; you're adorable and I LOVE the hair (cut, color, styling.....all of it!) You have a new fan! Looking forward to watching more!
I am growing out a longer pixie cut...had not found any new styles I liked until I found you!lol. Mine is still not quite long enough, but had my hairdresser give me a blunt cut today, and am on the road to your style!ha. You are so fun and cute! I am probably old enough to be your Mom...in fact I know I am...he he...but adore your style! Thanks for sharing!!
Just watched this and I actually tried it. Never backcombed in my life. (I’m 51). Omg. I did it! I am now a back combing fool LOL. I will be using this technique forever now. Thank you Harmony! ❤️
Just found this and super happy. I have SO much long, thick hair that to barrel brush for volume means I’m a sweaty, angry monster by the time it’s all done! Cannot wait to get home and try this.
Just noticed too that you have all of the products listed. TYVM!! Believe it or not, it has been a few years since I'd gotten a cut. Started a bit longer, but just got a couple inches off today. (before the 3 years, had been 7!!) So I'm totally lost about what products are out these days. (I'm also blonde). I had noticed tho that moisturizing shampoos are much better for me. Will now be picking up some of these Aveda products.
so glad i found your video. I love aveda products and so rarely come across anyone on youtube using them in tutorials. i go to an aveda salon in houston and have learned to use the smooth infusion before i blow-dry which has drastically cut my need to use a straight iron anywhere but my bangs. best products-great tutorial!!!
I know this is an old video but I am just seeing this now. I have found this to be the most helpful in getting volume. I have really straight and heavy hair and have been trying to find what helps. I have a lot of hair and it is thick, but my hair is always matted to my head and has zero volume. Thanks so much for the tips. I look forward to checking out all your videos.
Thank you so much!! I can’t ever get big hair without it looking ridiculous. Can’t wait to try your techniques! I’m not going to lie though... you are so incredibly beautiful and sweet it was hard to focus. I was like “How is she so pretty?! Oh wait.. *rewinds*” 2 minutes later- “How is she so pretty?!”
Just found you! You're adorable and so nice and helpful! I have long hair have never been very good with styling. Hope to learn from your videos. Love volume and never knew the mystery 😜new subbie! Mary Ellen
HON, I'm a 72 yr old senior citizen and I use to work in the beauty business and I just want to compliment you for your vlogs..You are patient, caring and a Great Teacher.. And honey you are so BEAUTIFUL with BEAUTIFUL hair.Your sooo feminine .
I really like your style! My hair is so fine so I can't do the backcombing because it causes so much damage. I'll just have to be happy with my natural blonde hair, a great cut and the fortune I'm saving on products and coloring!
Free2016 try watching her Voloom video. No backcombing, and some great products that maintain the volume. The Aveda powder she uses at the end is like magic!
Love your videos. I think I have used a flat iron for 10 years now AND no one ever Showed me how to use it properly. Thank you for videos so easy to follow & sharing your knowledge.
Excellent video! I was an artistic director for my salon back in the 70s and 80s and I always taught my clients and designers how to style and finish their hair. You, my dear, are a very good teacher! You repeat steps often, which is so very important. Please keep up the good work. I’ve subscribed and will enjoy each and every video you do. You remind me of how much I miss the business, though I’m way too old to practice now, lol. Thank you for all your doing and please let me know your name and name of your salon, plus where it is located. Blessings to you beautiful soul!
You’re welcome! I’ve now watched a couple more videos and know your in Utah, and that you work at Grassroots in Layton, but I still have not caught your name. What is your name?
I'm so glad you mentioned the cow lick at the back of your head, I have a double crown so I always have a weird bump of hair that doesn't know where to go
M W Actually she doesn't! Thats one of the reasons she is so awesome! She knows what products to use and how to use them etc. I have thin hair and she has taught me well👍
Okay. It's a matter of perception. I've seen a lot of hair, and I've seen a lot of people who think their hair is thin, simply because it's thinner than their sister's, or their best friends, or some celebrity. But their hair is not thin, it's just normal. This gal has a LOT of hair. It's fine hair, but overall, it's no where near thin. Maybe it looks thin to you, maybe your hair looks thin to you, but trust me, those of us with hair like a three-year-old blonde child would love to have hair as thick as yours. I cut my hair into a long pixie recently, and being as my hair is naturally dark, you could see my scalp everywhere because I don't have enough hair to cover it. Before I cut it, my ponytail was the thickness of my pinky finger. THAT is thin hair. I'm now platinum blonde because it matches the color of my scalp and blends into i enough I don't look bald.
M W Yes I agree with you, I can even see in photographs where my hair was a little thicker, but now it's go no volume no matter what holy grail products I use. It's flat as a pancake. 😂 😂 😂
Get on the castor oil, it's the dogs bollox! I had alopecia from PCOS, hair thinned and patches all over, had to shave it ofg, castor oil was great in growing it back, chicked in other essential oils, took time but it regrew and thickened up.
You are the prettiest person I've ever seen in my life! I just googled "straight hair diy" and now Im like "is that a real person?" Thanks for the video!
Hey, I just wanted to send a huge thanks your way. I was at the salon today and I showed my stylist this viedo and said I WANT THIS...and I walked out today with looking feeling like a supermodel! Lol. I bought all the products you recommend plus a few extras. Just wanted u to know you really helped a 49 year old lady feel super specialHappy Easter. .
My hair is very long but I would love to have the cut & color that you have.. How should I go about cutting my hair to achieve your style? You and your hair are beautiful. I am 54 & my husband thinks that if I cut my hair the length that yours is I will show my true age. Can you give me any tips? PLEASE .. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR HAIR COLOR AND CUT . Also, thank you for being so descriptive with each step you take while styling for the public. Your personality & sweetness is enjoyable to watch. Thanks again for teaching us your tips.
this and the straight hair with a side part tutorial are soo helpful! thank you for sharing that half circle technique! i have lately been tryin to do more straight hair just to spice it up from always curling my hair, and i can't wait to try it out the next time i straighten my hair.
Just came across your videos a couple of days ago when trying to do a simple messy bun. SO glad I did!! Lol. Where do I watch your live videos, Facebook? I’d like to be able to ask questions too 😅 Love the videos! Love your personality! Totally wish you were in Kentucky 😂
Great video; can't wait to try it! Interesting story: showed your video to my stylist; she exclaimed, "She's got extensions. That's A TON of hair!" I protested, but she then proceeded to show me where the extensions were on your head (!). I still didn't see any but I can't say I would know what to look for. Anyway, I am a trusting soul, and I believe you would have said if you had them. True, lots of blonde color will produce massive volume and hold, so there's that to keep in mind. At any rate, I found it fascinating to see how competitive my stylist is lol. That said, she gave me your cut and it is GREAT. She nailed it. But she didn't style it exactly according to your video. So...my next trick is to follow this video to a "T" (including the Aveda recs) and see if I can pull off this level of volume. I'm not a natural or bottle-blonde, but I have highlights and low lights--and lots of fine hair--but not as much as you (extensions or no lol). :-) Keep the videos coming...I'm a fan!
46 years and I had resigned myself to flat dull hair. Stumbled across this video and it has changed my hair game! (And inspired me to do the makeup to go along with it!) Thank you so much!!
I love hearing this! You are so welcome! And thanks for watching!

I had to watch all the way through and hear in bits that you have fine hair and then thin hair. That’s relatable. I subscribed right away.
I appreciate you!💗
OMG! I tried this yesterday on my shoulder length bob and my hair was BIG! I’m watching again ; going for even BIGGER hair today. Lol. Love your vids!
you are thr first person who actually taught me how to do my hair - I am not kidding you. I am 53 and not a girl who has ever understood makeup and hair. I did my hair with volume with your drying technique and a few products that I normally NEVER use. But wow what a difference> Thank you so much.

It is the best! You will love it! Pure abundance hair potion.
I wish I could afford an iron-wish they'd come down in price but I'm waiting to get a decent one. Thanks for all the tips & tricks here!
I love your way of back combing... I've watched a lot of others do it and they're just making a mess... And ripping away at they're hair... Thanks for sharing your method I LOVE!❤
I just realized like every pin on Pinterest in my “hair” board is you!! Your hair is the best!
Mine too!

Reminds me of “The Rachel” from the show Friends
"the rachel" is a completely different hair cut. But Jennifer Aniston did have a similar bob hair cut on friends later on in the show.
Thanks you are so cute and helpful
Just found this and super happy. I have SO much long, thick hair that to barrel brush for volume means I’m a sweaty, angry monster by the time it’s all done! Cannot wait to get home and try this.
Yay! Thank you for watching!
This is so brilliant. I watch a LOT of TH-cam videos but I feel like I learned so much!! THANK YOU
Stephanie Stark I missed the part showing how she wraps her hair on top darn!
This is the best tutorial on how to get volume. I've never seen it like this before and I will definitely be trying it
Love your videos! Reminds me when beauty guru back in the day how they use to do it. Love it 😍

I had no idea that I was flat ironing the wrong way! Thanks for the tutorial! P.S. your hair can give Jennifer Aniston's hair a run for her money.
Thank you!
Caitlin Harte Kim kardash hair extensions are ironed completely flat! I don't like that do u?
I'm so thrilled I came across your tutorials! Back combing+your suggested products=game changer! Everyone thinks I've been to the salon, thank you!!

Thank you for all your doing and please let me know your name and name of your salon, plus where it is located. Blessings to you beautiful soul!
Thank you very much for the kind words!
You’re welcome! I’ve now watched a couple more videos and know your in Utah, and that you work at Grassroots in Layton, but I still have not caught your name. What is your name?
Stumbled across this video. You're so sweet and entertaining!!
I'm so glad you mentioned the cow lick at the back of your head, I have a double crown so I always have a weird bump of hair that doesn't know where to go

Thank you Harmony for all your hard work and energy! You have a lot of “HAPPY VIEWERS”!
Like this ONE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kinda easy to get big straight hair when you start with big straight hair 😳🙄
Yeah, that's my thought too. Her head is absolutely CRAMMED FULL of hair. I'd love to have even a quarter of that hair!
So so sooooo would love to watch how your hair is cut/textured! Please! I think I am not the only one.
She looks like Heather Locklear.
Or meg ryan, or bardot. Classic beauty!
You did a really good job explaining this for people who don't know hair. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
You don't even know how excited I am that I found you! lol - Hi, My name is Lori and I'm a hair straightener fail. Big time. LOL
Hi, Lori...lol!
Me, too!!! It looks and seems so easy to do!!! I can get mine straight but the top of my hair is always a frizzy mess:(
You are the prettiest person I've ever seen in my life! I just googled "straight hair diy" and now Im like "is that a real person?" Thanks for the video!
Thank you SOOO much for these videos. I've watched lots of tutorials on here and yours are my favorite.

Lol. I bought all the products you recommend plus a few extras. Just wanted u to know you really helped a 49 year old lady feel super specialHappy Easter.
.
Oh! This makes me so happy!!! Best comment! Thank you!
Oh my goodness love your hair so jealous
It's late but just got my hair done today and was wanting some tips. Mine is now about your length & similar looking so your videos are super helpful.
Girl, you are gorgeous :)
I didn’t understand what she meant by “big straight hair” so I had to see what she meant . Lol
this and the straight hair with a side part tutorial are soo helpful! thank you for sharing that half circle technique! i have lately been tryin to do more straight hair just to spice it up from always curling my hair, and i can't wait to try it out the next time i straighten my hair.
Love your hair style.
I'm with you on the big hair! Especially when it's straight.
YES!!!
