What do you mean Total Boat is only “exclusive “ to your distributor? Total boat is available everywhere man.

Hi, Great video! I'm looking for a fairing compound to use over West System Epoxy. Even with adding a massive amount of West System 410 Fairing Additive, the epoxy is difficult to fair smoothly. I do a lot of repairs in wood (house front doors, etc.) and find that sanding the West System with the 410 is too hard - the surrounding wood is ground away much quicker, leading to an uneven surface, even with using sanding blocks. I want to make sure Total Fair will adhere to the West System products and hold up down the road.

Yes, any epoxy putty will work over West Systems. It is important to use a hard block, though. Using a DA or anything with a soft pad will just leave a lump and not look good.

@@evolutionviii12 Hi Jon, thanks for the reply. I know what you mean about lumps. First thing I learned about West Systems is how not to sand it. Once you use it a lot, it's the best adhesive/filler/bonder there is.

@@hmac66 I've used it quite a bit, only as a resin for fiberglass though. I would not want to use it as a filler. It is way too hard to sand. I fair and paint motor yachts, 112' - 130'. So I use a lot of filler, mainly epoxy fairing compounds. We do use west systems as the base filler on woods prior to spraying the stain and clear coat. But that is about it.
