- “Russia is nervous about groups like Hamas.”
There are fears in Russia that getting dragged into conflict in the Middle East would be a “disaster” for the Kremlin, says The Times’s diplomatic editor, Roger Boyes.

I counted how many times he said “eehhhee” after 1,100,000 I lost count. Listening to him is a torture.
Try GB news then
It’s brutal. I arrived clean shaven and left with a fully grown beard.
Your patience and ability to listen to others does not seem to be very strong.
I'd much rather listen to a very intelligent and insightful man who sometimes stumbles over his words, than a well spoken and slick orator who knows nothing about his subject, or is intentionally trying to play to one's biases...
@@papapiers1588 magnificently put!
Its very simple. Iran thinks they are a mini Russia, entitled to all of Middle east similar to the the way Russia thinks they are entitled to all of Europe. They will both lose, and lose very bad.
By the time that was explained I had grown a 10 inch beard.
Ehm, ehm, ehm. So ehm, ehm, ehm, ehm, ehm 😂
I'm glad it wasn't just me! Imagine I already start with a white beard myself!
What’s this guy an expert in? The use of filler words and guttural noises? Err… umm… err
Oh, good, it's not just me. One more "um, erm" and I was going to scream.
I not gonna watch. Would be nice if you made a 3 sentence summary for the rest of us ;)
Interesting yet.... 1.5 speed needed 😊
Playback speed x2 and still painful.
Thought it was just me.
going over the "eeehhheee" and "eemmmm"s, he was dead on right. I say this as an Iranian living in exile .... and following the every clip Times Radio has made on IRAN. Thank you.👍👍
A,A,A,A, AM, AM AM . Please Roger try and get your sentences formed without constantly frustrating the listener , or maybe stick to reading !!!!!
By blaming this on Iran are yiu not taking Palestinians and Hamas who represent them off the hook? Among the 4 000 people who broke through the fence on 7 October 1000 were civilian Palestinians. No one trained them. They knew exactly what to do and we all saw the footage of what it was
Just a technical point -- the multi-pronged breach of Israel's defenses and the tactical targets was very sophisticated and required highly technical intelligence and expertise, which is generally provided by Iran to its proxies. So I believe Mr Boyes is trying to enlarge the sphere of responsibility to include Iran along with Hamas and the Palestinians. He is misguided in other points, however, such as Israel's current hesitancy to try yet again to embrace a 2-state solution is the main cause of the region's instability. Iran cares about a Palestinian state only in so far as it weakens the "small Devil" Israel
Agree. One question though: should Palestinians get their state within Gaza/West Bank borders TOMOROW, would Iran cease? And not a single rocket will ever fly from the free Palestine into Israel? The question seems rhetorical.
@annarush6595 - What would you do in their shoes? Palestinians have been tortured and imprisoned for 80 years.
@@warpeace8891thats the problem. Also Israel doesent make things better when they do landgrabs here and there also in times when things are not open war between Palestine and Israel so in the end its had to escalate again rather then go towards some kind of peace agreement.I dont support any side in this because its been going on too long and no side shows any mercy or will to quit after almost 100years of war
All the pressure is on isrsel. None on hamas, who started a war and ran to the tunnels, locked the doors and lwft gaza civilians to fend for themselves as they act as human shields for hamas
Iran and Syria supply rockets & arms to the Terrorist organisations fighting Israel. So, logically the constant rockets attacks on Israel (never show that in the MSM do they) are Iranian & Syrian (via their terrorist groups) attacks. 80,000+ Israelis are displaced. MSM never discuss that either! 1,000s of Muslims and Palestinians are taking refuge in Israel. MSM never discuss that! Many of the hospital beds in Israel are taken up wounded Gazan civilians. So much, much more the MSM do not cover. 95% of MSM coverage is all about Gazans and Palestinians. No coverage at all of the uncontestable satellite video footage showing Hamas stealing, hijacking and refusing aid into Gaza. Hamas shooting it´s own civilians who are trying to escape to safety..... But the evidence is all over media platforms.
Horsefeathers!
Very difficult to follow this man.

@@jon3151 It seems we know he is a clown

Putin doesn't think when he chooses his friends 😂
a gifted orator
This guy needs to get his sentences out. Painful
Roger Boyes is annoying to listen to.
He can't get out a sentence without umming, arring and stuttering.
I never did hear exactly why "Putin fears ‘disaster’ of getting dragged into Middle East conflict".
Part of it might be that the volume for this particular video was set lower than most. Not my laptop, it's the video itself needs to be louder.
I fell asleep at around the 11th minute, my forehead hit on a nail clipper lying on my desk, I got injured, and now I'm suing the Korean company that made the nail clipper because I can't sue anyone else.
Funnily enough the 7th of Oktober is Putins birthday. So maybe the war was just a present from Iran.
That is very funny. :|
100% it was agreed on by Russia/Iran/Hamas..no doubt that Russia made some deal with Iran/Hamas
I love when Times Radio interviews Times Radio. 😁
They had several people who are claimto be intellectuals. They can't string 2 words together 😂😊
Putin fears disaster. He fears them in the same way as the game changing leopard tanks.
Thank you very objective and brilliant analysis 😊
Rather pointless - we all fear getting dragged into a conflict in the ME
Did anyone else think they may be inadvertently watching an episode of Wallace and Gromit ?
So ehm, ehm, ehm, ehm. So ehm, ehm, ehm 😴
Your patience and ability to listen to others does not seem to be very strong.
To much EEEeerrrr , but I get THE SCRIPT
His metaphor of the octopus missed the mark. It was not about growing one lost tentacle back, it was the semi-autonomy of each tentacle. Internet search about tentacles: "Each of the octopus's arms has a small cluster of nerve cells that controls movement, so the creature technically has eight independent mini-brains along with a larger central brain."
Cant imagine anyone telling this man they are nervous, yawnnnnn
God he’s hard going ummmmm
You know you know it seems- the message to the Middle East is Israel is real and d permanent get used to it prosper alongside -the alternative has 😮 zero future for the Whole region 😊
october 7 putins birthday
Israel funded Hamas from the 80s. Google it
Then the Dictator must get dragged into what he started himself 💀
Err, Umm, Err, Umm, you know
He's not the sharpest knife, is he? Go into any pub and you'd find plenty of people, even boozed up people, who were a quite a bit sharper.
Listening to this speaker is a painful.
It's nice to hear a thorough analysis of this situation even tho this man is painfully yet laughably hard to listen to! Cameron was recently talking to Trump however so I'm not sure your government is exactly sane right now either!
He was not the best public speaker in the world, but did have many points to make.
@@davidhowse884 I got thru it but laughed a little!
Good thing he's not a college professor. Can you imagine his E-mails?
Why didn't the camera-man rectify the angle so the black foam wasn't hiding his mouth?........ sheesh! 🙄
They are already involved.
It's painful listening to this Roger fellow. His speech falters and stumbles too much and he should stick to writing things.
Your patience and ability to listen to others does not seem to be very strong.
Why would he be worried about that? It was England, u.s.a and Ukraine remember least according to his sources (his consciousness)
THIS DUDE RAMBLES, FORGETS, W,HAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT, HE MAY BE IN THE EARLY STAGES OF DEMENTIA.
Roger is very inaccurate when he says that Russia controls Syrian airspace. Russia controls Syrian airspace around Russian military bases, that is where Russian-operated AD is.
It's a shame the bulk IQ of the readership of the Times has shrunk so much they are frustrated by an educated and erudite man who sometimes stumbles with his words.
I greatly enjoy Roger's insights and knowledge regarding the subjects on which he speaks
Reason for strike? Because it was worth it according to those involved, I suppose
Erm...... this speaker needs to improve his delivery.
Maybe the question should be, is the next war a nuclear blast maybe emp on the west or Russia?
Most US aid to Ukraine is spent in the US on US weapons and ammunition, which means the US can upgrade their own supplies, which also provides a lot of new jobs. Providing the arms necessary to drive Russia back to pre-war borders, without having to fight, will also save huge amounts long-term because it shows the whole world how weak they really are, and make all other states think twice before starting trouble themselves. In other words, helping Ukraine win, could lead to an international re-evaluation, leading to the twilight of War. Limiting attacks to isolated terrorist struggles. Russia is also responsible for online propaganda that is the source for internal political conflict within the domestic American system, and deserves to pay the price for that interference. That can only be stopped by allowing Ukraine win, which they are infinitely capable of, if the US and Europe show some spine with their support.
What an awful interview. He couldn’t finish a single sentence. He should have been left alone in whatever old people’s home they found him. Why Times Radio can’t interview someone with something interesting to say like David Murrin is beyond me.
From the peeks and blurbs I’m seeing, the strike on the Iranian consulate has everything to do with Iranian nuclear weapons progress. All the rest too, but mainly that Iran is on the verge of a nuke.
I am sure Boyes has many valid poins but would prefer to read his thoughts than his attempts at asking poor questions.
Thanks for the chance.
Your stories seldom focus on what was indicated by your titles.
Mr. Boyes is quite certainly a better writer than speaker.
Need an AI tool to summarise the video in less time, because ain't nobody got time for dat.
Hey Times Radio. Any word on the race riot in Southall in London last night? Met officers surrounded and outnumbered.
I agree with the previous comments . . . .would it be possible to find people who can actually string sentences together coherently? . . . . are they recruited from the coffeeshops of Amsterdam?
And you know this , how?
Has he said he fears this?
That question needs to be answered.
Thanks
Are gazans starving in the mids of planty?
Netanyahu is and always will be, a bully - as a young child I witnessed him trying to bully his way into the playground to play basketball. He lived in the West Oak Lane area of Philadelphia at the time - he's father was a mid-level Israeli functionary with assigned armed security. With him were two 6'5" security goons with guns in their holsters who approached other 8, 9, and 10 year old kids who told us that we HAD to play with him and let him win. Well that didn't last long - we all left the court and went home. And the chubby little Netanyahu was left holding a basketball. He had no one left to play with and he had no one left to bully.
Does anybody else feel like it's end of days
It has probably always felt like that in some parts of the world throughout history.
Putin also started the gaza war.
Well he went to London via texas. Um was all I got
I doubt 💩tin fears anyone.
i would say he has many traits of a vindictive coward
❤👍
If what he's saying is true, then why did Putin task Preghozin and Wagner wiht training Hamas? Russia was training these terrorists for years.
Israel was funding Hamas from the 80s.
Russia has been crushing Radical Islam particularly in Syria
Who was training Isis militias in Syria?
@@emmanuelmutinda1351 most Isis were trained and organized by former Iraqi military commanders. Many were organized from existing militia groups
Speaker is very cautious, a diplomat?
no, but a well-respected reporter for the Times of London. His forte is the printed word, not the spoken word.
The world remembers the saying perfidious albion?
"...errm... ummm...errr... it errr...." great interview? I don't speak or understand err..umm. Any chance you could interview someone who can speak English.
Oh dear 😮
I respect Mr Boyes' expertise but his public speaking skills are rather atrocious (and, alas, I'm saying this as a non-native speaker who has to do a lot of talking in English professionally)
“Israel was allowed to take out one of the senior Iranian officers” … what a bad and misleading sentence!!
The disaster they're happily walking right into?
Russia are very active in the middle east and Africa, you reap what you sow.

How is this guy being interviewed? Can’t seem to be able to articulate a complete coherent sentence…
