That's wonderful of everyone sending cards. We should put all our local rest homes in a place to be on a list for cards. I know what a difference it could make. They would love to know people are interested in them.
I live in the largest retirement community in the world. We have over 130,000 retirees living an active lifestyle. We have many assisted living and nursing homes near us.
@sharrondaniel7847 - please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to send out a box of my hand made cards. You are right there is nothing as nice as receiving a lovely card.
I have done this technique before and found that I got great results when I put cardstock on both sides of the stencil. 2 for 1!! Additional results can be gained by using alcohol ink on the stencil, then lightly spritzing the stencil with alcohol before running the sandwich through the die cut machine.
So happy to see you looked forward to seeing your plan for today fantastic as usual thank you for all that you do. loved your cards and techniques 💜💜💜💐💐💐💐
Thank you so much! I wasnt sure I’d get it done. The storms yesterday were pretty wicked and this was only a tropical storm! Roads will be a mess today. Oh well! The grass appreciates the rain! 😂
I think it is great that so many sent cards. I also sent some and will sent some more. Like your card!! I have used the Geli plate and it worked fine for me. I also got a sticky mat from amazon 6.5x8.5 Grip Mat with Printed Guides,Multi-Use Non-Slip Sticky Mats Fit in original-size Stamp Positioning Tool,Photopolymer Mat for Centering & Aligning Tape-free Stenciling Ink Blending and it works great also. I can put it in my stamping platform also. It was only $13.00
I have a geli plate but I haven't tried it for a sticky mat. I just use my hands and hold it down ha ha (yep..I get inky!) ;) You almost persuade me to get on FB. I use to be on there years and years ago, but it ended up being a time waster for me. I had to remove myself for my own sanity. 😂 PS I like your Pooh poster, I have Underdog in my craft room. **and by room I mean the pit of despair aka the unfinished basement. hehhehee
Have you used a Gelli plate as a sticky mat? Did it work for you?
Works well for me. Much better than silicone mats. And I get the added bonus of having ink already on the plate when I go to print with it again.
What a cute card. I love when people go above and beyond, that made me smile that everyone sent those cards to the nursing home. Thank you Heidi.
Thank you so much!😊
I haven't used the embossed stencil technique in quite some time so thank you so much for the reminder! You, too, are pho-nomenal!
Awwww thank you! 😊
