  • In this video I'm showing what was the cause for the climate control vent selector to not function properly and selecting all the vents in this Nissan Versa
    Sorry in advance, not my best video but I was sick when I filmed it.

    I watched originally just for the opening of the control panel as the intake slider thing is jammed on mines. But honestly I liked how you were explaining things and now know a bit more about my little cats ac workings. Keep doing good work friend :)

      What did you have to do? I'm dealing with the same issue where my intake slider is stuck. Slides over about halfway before getting jammed.

      Yep, that's why I made the video so hopefully other people don't have to go through all that and they can just remove the glove box and get right to it.

    Just had a temp control knob in a 14 Versa strip out in beginning of winter. The knob stopped more on cold than hot. I need heat for winter. The knob finally broke and I tried to turn it manually with pliers but it wouldn’t turn at all towards my he hot side. Which is weird. I just need to figure out how to turn it to have more heat? Help appreciated

      You would probably have to pull the controls out and pull the metal wire to switch it to hot or you will have to get to the blender door inside the heater core box and close it manually.

    I hope you see this and can help. I have a 2016 Versa. I have air flow however NO heat and NO air conditioning. I took it to a shop however they don't seem interested due to having to remove the dash. I can not afford to take it to the dealership.
    Under the driver side dash they said the lever needed replacement. Is this the same thing you did? Can you recommend a video that you've done?
    These temps have me sick and really really really need this fixed. When I do turn on the air. It seems to blow warm. Hard to explain because its not warm enough in the cold but too warm to even use in the heat as an air circulator.
    I would appreciate anyone being able to help. I'm new to automotive work. Thank you.

      Sounds like the blender door is not working and you could also have low charge as well. Start the car cold, turn the ac On inside and check under the hood if the radiator and ac fan kicks On. That will tell you if the ac system is charged and "working" so then you can move on to messing with the heater core box. I'm not sure if the 2016 is manually operated or it's electronic so you can have the same issues if it's manual but if it's electronic then most likely dash will have to come out to replace the blender door motor when you confirm that's the problem.

    My blower will sometimes blow out air from vents, sometimes it doesn’t. Is it that whole unit?

    • @mr_fixit
      @mr_fixit  ปีที่แล้ว

      When it doesn't blow air out of the vents is the blower motor still working? If you can't hear the blower motor running then most likely that's where you have an issue.

    Can you show the replacement of that top center air vent cover panel

    • @mr_fixit
      @mr_fixit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately that car is gone so I can't make a video at the moment. To remove the top center panel start at the front towards the windshield and just pull it straight towards you and it should come out. Hope this helps. Thank you again for watching.

    Nice,
    I’m having issues with the air control, when I have it set to 1 2 or 3 no air blows out but when it’s on max it works.
    Do you know what that would be?

    • @mr_fixit
      @mr_fixit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds like your blower motor resistor is gone bad.

    What can cause my two right and left vent to not blow as the two centers vent?

    • @mr_fixit
      @mr_fixit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Check to see if the flaps that open and close those vents is functional if it is then it could be an issue with the actual vent tubes that connects to those vents.

    My AC started hissing after I add refrigerant. What can be the problem?

    • @mr_fixit
      @mr_fixit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Where is the hissing coming from. Is it in the engine bay or did you start hearing it inside the car after turning ac on? Sometimes it's normal to hear hissing inside the car after turning ac on, it's just the freon being pressurized and circulated through the system.
