Porsche Cayenne Electrical Problem Alarm System Issue and Fix
In this video I'm going over the issues I started having with my alarm and lock system on the Porsche Cayenne. At first the alarm siren didn't worked then the next issue was when I lock the car shortly after the alarm will go off but since the siren doesn't work only the flashers will come on and stay on. The only way to get around that issue and still be able to lock the car was to hold the lock button on the remote and that way it locks the car but disables the alarm system. The next problem that happened was that even though the car was locked and flashers were off there was a clicking noise like a relay click in the trunk so I took the trunk apart to find out the noise was coming from some sort of control module. My next and last stop was the alarm siren box itself and it turned out that it was shorting out internally and if I left the vehicle sit for about a week the battery will be weak or completely dead and I would have to jump start the car. I ended up pulling an alarm siren box from a 2012 Audi A4 and swap it out. Now my issue is gone, I can lock the car normally and alarm system is on and siren works. Hope this helps anybody else experiencing this problem.

This engine can be found in almost any make lawn mower and zero turn like Husqvarna, Hustler, Gravely, John Deere, Toro, Ariens, eXmark, Cub Cadet.... You need to do more investigating to confirm that your engine is leaking from the same spot because you may have another problem or have multiple leaks.

Just a quick update on the Cayenne after it started overheating a while back. It appears that my suspicion was correct and the water pump has indeed failed. The only thing is it that it didn't fail the way I suspected. This water pump has a mental collar/sleeve that is vacuumed controlled and its supposed to restrict flow so engine can warm up quickly ( if I'm not mistaken 😅 )

No I just found a used one with matching part number and it works. Only issue I have is that the used one came out of a car with park sensors and mine doesn't have them so everytime I put the car in reverse I get a message on the screen that there is no communication with the park sensors but it goes away when I put it back in drive so... I don't pay it no mind.

Very interesting video. I have replaced both pulleys, the clutch cam and all 3 belts. As a result, my D105 will now move in forward and reverse gears. However, on starting it will only crawl slowly in forward and reverse modes, but eventually with much coaxing picks up to a brisk walking speed. Engaging the mower does not appear to reduce the speed, so I have been able to cut the grass twice. However the tractor struggles to climb a modest incline. The motor is powerful and does a great job cutting the grass, without any loss in speed. I've noticed that fully depressing the "gas" pedal does little to speed up the tractor, in fact the speed may even slow down somewhat. I am coming to the conclusion that the trans itself may have been damaged by wear and tear over the past 11 years and 328 hours of operation. I would value your opinion and anyone else who has faced the same problem.

This was one of the most helpful videos that I've seen thus far (I've watched dozens on this brand of mower), and you've explained it so well and thoroughly. *I am having the exact same issue minus the cut headlight wires. I've proactively checked/replaced every safety switch that has shown error (under seat), including the IRIS control module (the circuit board unit that validates everything safety), cleaned and retested others with multimeter. I have check all of my wiring harnesses multiple times witn zero "open circuitry" found end to end. On to the fuel shutoff and clutch (checking it now). I am awaiting a new fuel guage, fuel shutoff solenoid, voltage regulator, and LED display that shows: bluetooth connection, PTO (blades running) , tilt (grade limit), oil press, battery, and parking brake statuses. The fuel guage and LED display are connected in series (pwr/ground) so they are my main suspects until otherwise dicovered🙏🏿. All fuses are good, so, yepp, a nightmare! It all started 3 mos after pur hase, with those lousy "new l.e.d." headlights that faded one by one and precipitated to where I am today. I don't think that I've put an honest 100 hours on it yet, to be honest! I bought this thing in Junem2018, thinking that it could very well be my last lawn tractor purchase..well, it might be my first and last Husqvarna purchase ever. All of this because of cheap processes to save a dollar here and there for bigger coperate profits when most of these issues could've been averted for pennies utilizing watertight connections and jackets. 🤷🏾‍♂️Live & learn. Wish me luck!

The main problem with those Transmissions is grass building up on top of them and jamming those moving parts up there. You would not believe how hard it can pack down into the groves on the top and jam everything. You need a screwdriver to loosen it up! I take out my battery every couple of years and get all the grass off the top, & out of the control levers up there. Use vacuum or air pressure, NOT water, since water will get in the bearings which are poorly sealed. Reach under the back of the transmission & take any grass out of there too. If you have a leaf blower blow the grass out every time you mow. Stick it above the rear wheel and blow toward the top of the transmission. Do the deck too. Blow the grass out of the engine cooling fins occasionally. Check the 2 or 3 plastic idler pulleys under the frame to make sure they spin freely with the parking brake on. If they feel rough when you turn them, change them before they ruin your drive belt. The same with the ones on the mower base. Don't get them wet either. Blow everything clean with air, or shop vacuum it off once in a while. Bearings hate water in them. When you change the axle grease seals, go around the joint where they go into the transmission with any kind of caulking or gasket maker so that they can't walk their way out again, which is what usually happens. You can ignore leaking around the axle unless it gets excessive. That entire trans is filled with a huge amount of grease from the factory. Never work near belts on a mower with the engine running. It is like a lathe. Your clothing or even long hair can get caught in there and get you killed. It recently happened to a hobbyist near me while using a small lathe in his garage. Even rings on fingers have gotten people killed by getting caught on rotating machinery & pulling them into rotating parts.
