It does actually, but you need to be ''on it''. Countless times i ate in an hotel free, posing myself as one of the extras. Its extremely easy, most of the times only thing you need to do is to write some fake name into a list and bam, you are an hotel worker and can get into everywhere in the hotel, except the administrative areas and actual guest rooms. Eating from guest buffet is harder but still doable, twice i have managed so far. But adrenaline fills you more than the food you eat, so its sort of pointless to go through all that struggle. I do it for fun, i dont need the food. Becoming a spy was sort of my childhood dream, this is as close as i can get to that, so.

Trick is to know what is that thing you need to be prepared for. I have been to many hotels too, i worked in some of them as well so i know those ''things'', but for example an easy one, ''its mid-day and a random tourist returning for his room'' never gets questioned, thats a classic if you ever happen to be in a situation that you dont have any money but have to eat etc.
