OK, so I went to a highly recommended, experienced, long time loctician . For $600 she gave me huge locs. She's obviously tired from all her years in the game. She also got on all my nerves for the first 5 months until I start to self retighten myself. The sisterloc community police and rule book got thrown out the window from that point on. Now I see all these girls who have installed their locs themselves and they are gorgeous. Call them what u want and do what u want! Ur hair looks fabulous💓

Sisterlocs, microlocs.....girl call them whatever you want. They're all the same dang thing regardless of the grid. People just take things too far.

I started my Sisterlocs a year ago after growing out a tapered cut.
1. Be patient it takes everyone’s hair different times to loc
2. Listen to your loctician especially in the beginning
3. The dandruff will get worse before it gets better, but it does get better
4. ENJOY THE FREEDOM! I love how little time I spend on my hair. I work third shift, now I just get up and go!
I'm going to miss all the short and fabulous styles you pull off so effortlessly, but I applaud you on your hair journey. Good luck and Be Blessed

It’s good that you have such a huge audience and will share your journey, it’ll show people that you don’t need to have the Sisterlocks brand in your hair for it to still look spectacular.
Aside from the grid and the trademarked name, they’re all small, manicured, maintained locs 🤷🏾♀️
I have sisterlocks. I wouldn’t be any good in terms of developing a grid, it’s very intricate.

Girl sisterlocks/microlocks are not for me but the look beautiful on you. You can call it either name you like, it's all the same too me. I had regular locks for 6yrs before taking then down & rocking my natural coils. I am looking forward to seeing your journey 💕
The only advice I have auntie is washing your hair a lot helps the process . & use the least amount of product as possible so you don’t eventually have build up .

Your scalp does go through the process of getting used to less products. The dandruff will eventually stop. I've been traditionally loc'd for 5yrs now.

It still looks beautiful. I just started my loc journey as well. I went to my own stylist who did a bomb as job on my hair. I call it sisterlocs but other won’t and I simply don’t care. I will be getting my hair retightened with a loctition as well. You look beautiful btw

I'm 8 months in to my second sisterlock journey (long story lol) but one thing I will say, once you get a re tightening schedule STICK TO IT!!!!!! waiting to long in between sessions can weaken your locks. I learned this the hard way, after waiting 7 weeks to finally interlock.

Girl be careful the sisterlock gang is no joke..they are similar to the beehive lol Just kidding...but if I were you...just call them Microlocks because the grids and tool is trademarked...the CEO is particular about it lol but either way you go, these look great and I'm ready to take the pludge....I think the Micro Locs are a better option because it's cheaper.

I love your hair I to had sister locks and took them down. I hate that grid and the size of my locs. I've been natural for 1 year now and miss my locks. All this product testing is nor for me. I'm going back to the locs. I'm not doing the sister locks. You've made a good choice.

I’ve been subscribed to you since the beginning. I’m doing the same too. Never thought I would but I would always have the fleeting thought. My supervisor got the sisterlocks while being encouraged by me to go natural and I love the look but not the price!! I’ve been aggravated with my hair too. 6 years natural now and I love the authenticity but I’m tired and feel like a slave to my hair. It’s not the same anymore and I can’t get my styles right and I don’t have time to twist one night. Take out then put it up in a puff cause I hate it or in a bun. Anywayyyyy I said all that to say I’m with you. Thanks for continuing to bring fresh content.
