24 years later… for me… still thee Best Hair decision ever!!❤❤❤
I can tell you this: I sure wasn't thinking about doing anyone's hair before I took the Sisterlocks™️ course in 2017. Thank you to the founders, the sisters of Sisterlocks™️ 🤓, for this unique opportunity to own a small business and help Black women exist in authenticity while they learn to love themselves even more. 🥰✨🙏🏽 So grateful. Loved this discussion.
A very awesome and educational conversation with the dynamic Sisters of Sisterlocks(tm)! Loved it!

It is definitely a community Whenever I see another black woman with them, we both tell each other how much we love each others hair. It feels like a club 😂❤

This was Awesome, I have had my sisterslocks for 13 years and I wouldn’t change a thing, I’m also a trainee and I have my own business, so thank you all for creating Sisterlocks and remaining true ❤️
I got my sisterlocks establiahed in 2019, I've been wanting them for years, but this is the 1st time. I heard why they are called Sisterlocks 😳. . . Because they were birthed by sisters. God Bless their soul. ❤
I always said as a child I want locs but I wish they were smaller and wow! Thank you!
Thank you for your contribution to humanity. This system has changed my life and the lives of others. I will always share your stories. I love you all!❤
This blessed me this morning! I have been Sisterlocked since 2011 and I have been a Certified Consultant since 2021. Sisterlocks has changed my life personally and professionally. The very first thing I learned is to not call an ESTABLISHMENT an installment! I love the energy of these ladies. The willingness to share is amazing. I’m happy that I decided to mak the sisterlocks move!❤💜
I really enjoyed this conversation.
Happy 30th anniversary. Thank you for building this community.
As always a lot of character when these three ladies get together. I feel the love!
Very powerful conversation! To know that you created this lifestyle with your sisters to create a lifestyle for other sisters to love their hair in all its beauty. With all gratitude
I absolutely love my sister locks & for me it has been a journey.(after losing my parents & sister & being a little lost) This is a new purpose for me❣️A very beautiful journey & I thank you for the gift, the movement, the love, the respect & the community! This is such a great thing for women of color, it is very much a global movement! I just celebrated my 1st anniversary. Unfortunately I never received my certificate, (probably lost in mail). Sisterlocks has brought us all together, we speak more to each other, kinder, more encouraging even more patient & loving. Definitely reminds us of dignity & self reflection. This is a continuing education. Thank you & God bless us all Sisters❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Shout out to Stella and the lovely team at Textures in Detroit and the the education of Everette’s. I hated my sisterslocks at 1st 3 years in I’m loving them!!!
I’m loving this
Thank you for paving the way! My daughter has been sisterlocked for 7 years. Her journey convinced me to loc my hair as well. I chose to establish microlocs and this has been the best hair decision I’ve ever made. Thank you for leading the way and making locs more socially acceptable. It’s been easier for me because of you. 💕
Thank you for making Sister Locs socially excellent globally. I'm sister locked for 16 months; and I have never felt so good about my hair. I have 4C hair and could never get my hair to grow grow up, however; I now appreciate my hair growing even more beautiful . I appreciate my natural hair more than ever because of its unique and elegant natural beauty. God blessings 🙌🏽
Thank you so much for this video, what stood out to me in this video how the founders created a space for black woman to appreciate their hair and create a way to love our hair at its natural state. I look at my hair a different way now. Thank you so much❤
Waiting
Thank You - this video and meeting the founders of Sisterlocks is very inspirational. This is really inspiring me to start my journey and getting my initial Sisterlock establishment!❤
I've scrolled through this a few times and finally got to watch all the way through. Definitely worth watching.
I absolutely love how invested each of the sisters is in growing the brand. I agree with Celeste that it’s not talked about enough and it’s probably because we in the Sisterlock community (if you will) don’t educate as much as we should or help others know the importance of what sisterlocks are and stand for. I also loved how they all have a different function in the company. The epitome of knowing your role and playing it well. I love a good origin story and this video was my first time hearing how it all started.
This was a happy glad joy interview....thanks for sharing and blessings to everyone
I am happy to be apart of a community that's as passionate as these beautiful women are. Thank you for sharing and extending this possibility with others.
My sisterlocks are scheduled for September 28, 2023. I CANNOT WAIT 😀
Congratulations!
Mine is next Tuesday, if God willing I can't wait
I recently got an establishment and totally disappointed. I am trying to work things out with my consultant before entering a complaint. I was so excited for this journey, yet I'm ready to take them out.
This was awesome to watch. Thank you all for sharing the history with us and allowing the opportunities that have been life changing in all aspects.❤
Thank you ladies for sharing!! I appreciate it all!! I do love my traditional locs, however I’m greatly in love with the beauty of sister locs!
This was such a treat! I've had my Sisterlocks for 21 years and have loved every minute of the journey. Thanks for paving the way to make this possible, ladies.
Oops. Realized I had a typo to fix. It's been 21 years!
Thank you ...We honor you ...Sisters🎉🎉🎉
I had no idea the business was created by 3 sisters! Such an amazing story! 😍🥰
Thank you very much for this contribution to us women of colour.
Im currently in the class 🙌🏾🙌🏾 It has been a journey to get here but im thankful that I took that leap of faith. I admire each and every of these women for what they have created together as Sisters and for women of color, it’s not something that I see often. It’s funny because I always thought that sisterlocks was the style of locks but really it’s named after the sisters. I think that cool that they together created this style.
Im looking forward to when Sister locks reach Africa, that would be a game charger for many I’m sure if it.
Thank you for all that you do beautiful souls ✨
We're rocking sista locks in Africa...Kenya specifically ❤
After doing the musical Hairspray in 2019 as Seaweed, I had to do the big chop to my hair (ironic because Hairspray has to do with the big hair). I wanted locks but i didn’t want traditional locks. I happened to find this style and connected with a guy who was Puerto Rican and Black that has brotherlocs ™️ . I reached out to him and asked him to call and me after 5 minutes. I was hooked. I grew my hair out for 4 and a half years to get the minimum length of 2 and a half to 3 inches. I finally got it January 2nd and January 3rd. I’m so glad. I love love love my hair
Miss Jo Anne and Miss Carol.......your hair is beautiful. Would you be willing to show us / do a video talking about your hair? Would love to get a more up-close look and tips and what not about what you do as far as care and style. There is so much controversy regarding sisterlocks and would love to get some tips from you. I am not saying divulge trade secrets but what you do on a daily basis. Do you wrap your hair at night? Do you use a bonnet? Can you show us your go to style? Would you recommend or not recommend sisterlocks for those whose hair is not thick? Basic general things. I hope that you would consider.
You can stay tuned in. That will be covered in upcoming podcasts.❤❤❤
Humm, I will stick with my knotted locs ✌🏾
Pretty interesting and smart that all forms of the name have been trademarked in more than just the US - Katrina
Humm, I will stick with my knotted locs. ✌🏾
I agree with you I will stick with my braidlocs that I installed & maintain myself for 5 years now sisterlocs are overpriced locs is locs there is no special club
My sisterlocs are 15 years old and my fullness isn't there anymore. What can I do to get the fullness again? I definitely retighten them on every 6 weeks.
you might try pushing your reties out to 8 to 10 weeks to allow your new growth to thicken as it grows. My hair is thin in the crown as well and I’m using that now to see if it helps.
I am 14 months sister loc'd. I am cool with them. I considered sister loc training however I am doing micro loc classes instead. More women can afford the installation and retires. I will not promote retie as frequently as sister locs does.
Do you have to have a cosmetology license to become certified?
Sisterlocks training is available without the need for a cosmetology license, allowing you to become certified directly through our program. However, it's important to check the specific licensing requirements in your state, as some states may require a natural hair care or braiding license to practice professionally.
