Definitely a cool idea, I imagine pin-in-pin is similar in look. What could be interesting with what you suggest where two or more pieces of a pin can move independantly. is a non-linear shear line which I don't think I've seen before. Taking this further.. why mot have dozens of pins like one of those pin-in frame toys and have a novel shear line at each pun requiring the bitting to be a 3d-curved plane at each pin. Well I know why... probably be a sticky lock even with the right key, and difficulty cutting keys, but a good puzzle lock possibly!
