Just inspired that they took the classic “put the apple in the apple shaped hole” kindergarten style puzzle and made this out of it. Definitely the most I’ve underestimated a puzzle yet on this channel.
It's really boring, just permutations. This is something for an algorithm to do, not a human imagining he's solving anything. I think this must be the worst puzzle I've ever seen. A high-piece-count "kindergarten style" puzzle is at least an order of magnitude more interesting than this.
I never considered a puzzle that the piece does not completely fill the space that it is meant to go in. Such a simple way to add more complexity. This one is going on my wishlist along with a few of his other puzzles. Thank you for the video! The music was nice too.
2:48 - Mr Puzzle, you can't truly claim 'Giraffe' as a difficulty level. Only one puzzle will EVER have that intense rating of difficulty, and it's in your past now, for which you will be eternally grateful.
Enjoyable watching you solve this puzzle (but thank goodness you can speed up the video during the trial-and-error intervals.) Hearing the sounds you made at the moment of solution was the whipped cream on the cake!
I bought a jigsaw from a jumble sale once. Someone had swapped a quarter of the pieces out with some from another puzzle. I thought I was going insane.
Saw something years ago were someone found a jigsaw company used the same cutting for each jigsaws. Different pictures, same piece layout. They went about merging puzzles in creative ways, like a horse whose rear was the back of a train
Unlike many game ads say, this one is really "Harder than it looks" ! Could have been considerably harder if at least one piece had to fit 45 degres from expected orientation ( piece corners in rounded "holes" and piece rounded parts loosely filling corners).
This puzzle oddly gives me Sudoku vibes with the way certain pieces can go in certain places, so you have to methodically come to the correct alignment.
That reminds me of an English exam I passed 14 years ago ^^ One of the item was a "fill in the blank" test and all the words almost fitted in all blanks. So, we lost a lot of time just trying out combinations and nobody finished that one. So, we all complained and she admitted that it was indeed too hard for us and that we didn't had enough time. That exercise also sunk some people, so it was good that she just removed it.
This looks amazing! I would want one with a clear back tray, black upper / grid / slots tray, and the pieces to be a transparent red. I never get anybody anything and I am thinking of getting this for someone, I just wish I could customize the colors.
Theorem: Either there isn’t exactly one solution consistent with a given partial assignment of pieces to holes, or there is an unassigned piece that can fit in exactly one of the unassigned holes (and symmetrically there is an unassigned hole that exactly one unassigned piece can fit in).
hmm this ones looks extremely fun, i never had an interest in buying puzzles but i like watching you and ramsay solve puzzles is relaxing and then go to bed. but i think i would like solving this one on my own. still probably not going to buy, dont know it seems like a waste of money solve it once and then forget about it, waste of resources sorry ruining it. but once again i am extremely grateful for the content. for anyone reading this comment have a nice day everyone :)
I fully expected that the solution would require a piece to fit diagonally into the four-outie place, with corners in the tabs and tabs in the corners. Definitely watch for that if Asaka makes another that looks like this.
I got Jigsaw 29 a few years ago, after seeing it on your channel. It wasn't too difficult, IMO, but I was disappointed by the build quality. One piece was extremely tight and could only be inserted by force. The puzzle was let down by its manufacturing.
So, when are you going to solve that giraffe puzzle? Didn't the greatest puzzle solver not show you how to solve it yet?😉 Maybe, you should stick to these "easier" puzzles that's more your speed!😄 This puzzle being solved two seconds beyond the target time, I say excellent job as usual.
Like a lot of these jigsaw or packing puzzles they're great for a personal solve, but not much in the way of entertainment for the viewer. Just my opinion. Thanks as always, Mr puzzle!
Meh it can be solved with bookkeeping. The only thing all that interesting would be to come up with the algorithm that, on average, finds a solution in the minimum number of tests.
The fact that these puzzle pieces have got no orientation (front/back) is not appealing to me. And also the "no picture" theme. I'm afraid these kind of puzzles only need brute force to solve, and no fun or satisfaction.
“1 to 5, plus giraffe”😉
That’s so good! It’s true and only the most dedicated fans know what that means.
I picked up that giraffe puzzle myself after I saw his video on it. Ive been working on it ever since, still cant figure it out. Im losing hope.
@@tym6217 Me too. But I'm still hopeful, as the box it came in said 1-2 years, and I'm still within that timeframe.
The box showed an estimated completion time of 30 mins. Mr. Puzzle: 30:02. Right on the money.

@@marshaul Agreed. It looks nice, but it's barely a puzzle. It's just a game of brute forcing and it takes about 30 minutes.

Was hoping to see the secondary challenge of connecting the pieces themselves into a square.
The back of the box says the target time is 30 minutes. Incredible timing
😅
There was never a doubt our fearless leader would get the solution in the time control💪💪😀🙏🏼
Best,
Eric 😀
@@EricPetersen2922 I'm going on several HOURS. LOL

That's exactly what I was expecting. Somehow disappointed that there was no twist.
I love all of Asaka’s designs. Yet another great one today.
"plus giraffe"... LOOL loving it.
Yuu Asaka’s puzzles are my favorite kind to watch!
Great puzzle! Now please complete the second challenge in another video!

This reminds me of "That's right! It goes in the square hole!" 🙂
I appreciate the deceptive difficulty and it makes me wonder if the puzzle of building them into a square has a similarly tricky component to it
Can you solve the square another time too please

Love this little puzzle.
I would like to point out that Amazon also took the Mr Puzzle 1-5 scale for the quality of their products.
You much be making a fortune in royalties.
😂😂
7:26 me, talking to myself, in highschool.
This puzzle is driving me nuts!
Variations on a Theme. hahaha. :) Yuu Asaka always breaks the rules and it’s great!

@@Mr.Puzzle fair enough and i cant thank you enough for the amazing content you provide.
entertainment by solving puzzles is not for everyone, good job 🔥🔥🔥
I' would like to see you solve this as a 4x4 out of the frame. I don't know if that's easier or harder.
Lights and shadows in this video are trippy, constantly changing and making it seem out of focus
Light remained the same but the shadows are ver confusing
You forgot to do the 2nd puzzle.
Jeez I love these tiny jigsaws. Such a clever concept!!

Easy but hard.... Perfect puzzle👌

Imagine a puzzle like this but you have to put two pieces on top of each other to match the hole.
7:25 "Ugh, can't you just fit in??" --- I feel that.
When you first took it out of the box, I was thinking "This is going to be simple". But I was wrong.
Not simple at all. I started over a few times.
I legitimately love how the lighting and shadows make the board look like it’s a glitch.
I thought that you would solve this puzzle within five minutes... and boy, was I wrong!!!!!!!!
My fight thought of seeing this puzzle is whether a pleasing normal solution exists if you remove the backboard...
Awesome and satisfying puzzle. Not really difficult.
You can also make a 4 by 4 square using the pieces, which is another great challenge.
Yes I mentioned that in the beginning but forgot about it after completion. 😅
@@Mr.Puzzle Mr P. When are you going to try the well puzzle?
7:27 that's what she said 😅
Try the Bird 11 too !
Soon
The center portion of the video (the puzzle itself) looks like it was filmed with special camera that makes 3D movies
It’s kinda making my eyes hurt
@@henrys3217 it's all right, just close them. That's what I did
@@ZTalap honestly I love putting mr puzzle on the background
it might be kinda nitpicky, but yuu isn't pronounced with that harsh j-sound. it's pronounced pretty much the same way you say "you" in english
Thanks for watching, I continue in German.
Is there any store or branch for these puzzles in india? Or any website from which i can get this delivered in india?
I always enjoy how mind bending these puzzles are.
video starts at 4:00
Very cool puzzle, I love that it looks so familiar and simple but actually seems very unique once you start to dig in!
3/5 = < 1 hour
4/5 = < 6 hours
5/5 = you will need a computer computer simulation and/or 12 hours of time
Those pieces do NOT want to stay in focus, do they? :P
They are, the shadows make them appear not.
This better than birds & pigs (also from asaka)?
Have the bird 11 here. Not tried yet.
unique puzzle as dead ends are ok? meaning some of the pathway will not be utilized.
👍👍👍
