- Sach khoj Academy (ਸਚੁ ਖੋਜ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ) is a non profitable academic institution, started by Dharam Singh(b. 1936), a Nihang Singh theologian, preacher and writer, known for his exegesis of Adi Granth and Dasam Granth. He worked as a secretary in Budha Dal, under Baba Chet Singh Nihang. The academy was started in 1996 at Khanna , where classes are delivered on the exegesis of various compositions of Adi Granth, Dasam Granth and various topics of Sikhism and other religions. Academy has uploaded enormous amount of audio and video lectures on the internet with expositions of various Compositions of Aad and Dasam granth. It provides platform for independent researchers of Gurbani to perform unbiased research , and learning to use the Adi Granth dictionary lexical resource for the exegesis.

"Dharam prabhu ko, parmeshwar ko explain karta hai" Baba ji kree jao explain, eh trigonometry da formula hai na jjis nu explain karna hai..Baba ji da bahut satikar karda haan main , par ohna de schalarship karke, dharam karke nhin... This statement that "Religion is meant to 'explain' God" is enough to convince me that Baba ji is just a slightly better pandit than others and is nowhere near realising himself - which is the only realisation possible. Here , he , like other other religious scholars has moved away from "experiencing" religion into "explaining" it. I will enjoy his explanations because he does it better than most others. But today, he dispelled my illusion that he is a "religious" person. He is merely an "explainer" of religion. I will still respect him moree than I respect others because his explanations are at least closer to what the Guru Sahiban said. Guru Sahiban "sang and celebrated" God - which is vastly different from 'explaining " something. Explaining is not the job of a saint - in fact , a saint has no job except being saintly. Explaining is the exact opposite of experiencing. it is like "experiencing" the fragrance of a flower and explaining. Even a child can tell us that one is vastly different from the other. I woud rather enjoy the fragrance of a flower than listen to explanations of what causes fragrance.
That said, I still hold Dharam Singh Nihang in much higher esteem than most other preachers. He is a better preacher but love and religion to my mind are not about preaching. That he is only a preacher and explainer of love and not a lover is what disappoints me ( I don't know why he calls himself a Nihang but that is something for him not me to bother about but it does tell me something which is not very flattering to r Baba ji.
Harcharan Bains ji even if Baba ji had been an experiencer what difference would it have made to us.Whatever he explains consider that as the fragrance of God and keep praying to Him until we ourselves start experiencing the God Himself,that is the essence of SGGS and all other Granths nd Saints.Remember one who has achieved God,s experience may not bother to lecture others.
To me also Baba ji,s explanation seems better than others nd he has not yet achieved the self realisation or himself drank the nectar of God. But God gives to us the knowledge source as per where we stand in our spiritual quest.Let us keep movimg nd one day by Guru,s Grace we wud come to that stage where all our answers vud come from within us.We will start to see the divine beauty nd music then.keep walking.
