Wow, cool ! Thanks for teaching me how to use the Gold Bug. I'm just starting out, again. I like having the option to eliminate nails and wire and bottle caps and pull-tabs. Reading the manual will become more clear as I someone else doing it. I'm subscribed, so hope you continue with more training. Thank you

Excellent video, hands down the best I've seen yet on operating the Gold Bug. Simple, slow, easy to follow instruction and explanation. Just got mine today and this was absolutely invaluable to getting me started. Thanks you!!

though I had some problem with sea water It also th-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Thank you for sharing all of that! I bought a White GMT and sold it though because I lost my job and am flat broke. Good luck to you and may you find a very gigantic nugget!

I've watched this video at least 7 times because I bought one and it is on the way. I have also read the manual already and already watched an unboxing lol. Thanks and HH to you sir

They're the same, both are manufactured by Fisher labs. One is more geared to the European market. The SE has manual ground balance, where the Pro has auto ground. This is the only difference per Fisher Labs.

I run a Fisher F70 and have ran Whgites in the past I think the Fisher F70 has very little learning curve. True you can customize the machine but if you run it factory you'll have no problems with it and as you get more confident you will begin to experiment...at least thats how I went about. Fishers are great machines I have the F70, the 1280X and I am will be picking up Gold Bug 2 Po very soon -Russ Balbirona

Mate I'm a newbie too and I was first looking at Minelab Excalibur 2 as I'm almost blind and a screen display is useless to me so I'm looking for an audible detector. Next I looked at the the ATGold again it's good but .. Now I'm thinking of a Fisher Gold Bug 2 .. It seems to be a very good unit and gas an impressive pedigree .. Good price too.

    Hey,
Nice video...I have an original gold bug and well as you probably know it picks up everything...what I am wondering is if there is a point on the se, pro or 2 to where you have the iron locked out but it will still pick up say gold and led. and if so can you also get rid of aluminum or will it come in as a low or high tone?
I live in eastern oregon and they have the snake river lower than I have ever seen it and right now we're looking for led sinkers. Thx. Ray

I'm considering getting the White's GMT Metal Detector because I heard it's a bit easier for a newbie to use than these Fisher's. Any thoughts would be welcome.:-)

I like the detector but the coils too big with a six or eight inch coil separation and the tones would be more accurate most people go out for coins and jewelry making a 6 to 8 in coil what you need for accurate discrimination

LOL...as usual I didn't watch the whole thing before I posted a comment...sigh...well it looks like you can tell the difference between iron and led, so I guess the only question is what about aluminum? Thx.

HI MY FRIEND This Gold bug detector is Chinese ?, I'm sorry I do not understand detectors. Because in the Chinese site has this detector cheaper. Is it the same detector?
    thank you.
