I DRIVE 5,000KM IN 4 DAYS TO SHIP MY TOYOTA HILUX TO AFRICA |S1EP4|

On March 2022, I was overlanding across Turkey to enter Iran. The initial plan of this solo expedition to Africa was to cross the Middle East to finally ship my Toyota Hilux Rafiki from Muscat (Oman) to Mombasa (Kenya).
While traveling through Eastern Turkey, I couldn’t receive concrete shipping solution from Oman anymore. Many people felt concerned about this adventure and tried to find a shipping solution along the Mediterranean sea. In vain.
When, one day, Eva zu Beck messaged me about a German Shipping Company called Caravan Shippers. I contacted them straight away. They had a 20ft container available! But the vessel departed from Hamburg (Northern Germany) to Cape Town (South Africa) 5 days later. I had to drive 5,000 km in less than a week then.
Challenge accepted.
