    Based on my observations GP's do not alert patients to their kidney failure until it reaches stage 3. MY theory is that they are trained to fix not prevent kidney disease.

I’ve also shared his endocrinology background with my own physicians. I’m learning a ton here.

    This was a great help for me! My GFR was 83 just a week and half ago. Changed my diet immediately! Will see my family doctor in 3 mo. My heart specialist sent me a notice that I was due to make an appointment and will do so immediately! Never been over A1C of 5.8 but recently 5.7. This started 15 yrs ago when I had cancer. What a wake up call!

    Hello, thank you for "all videos". I have found that in doing genealogy my body is: 3 generations of maternal side had diabetes. I was born with the second generation. My mother was always small in body frame and was never tested for diabetes. However, since doing ancestry all of my first cousins have diabetes and other things thru father's side. I have kept my A1C at 7-7.1 and weight the same for over 20 plus years. I take a lot of vitamins but not to the point of overdosing. Physically I have been disabled from broken back injuries since 1976. When I lost some weight it made no difference in the A1C etc. I eat by portions and when I have a little extra sugar "it's not to bad for readings". I can already see by your videos to change some things!!! I'm in my middle 70's and now keeping track of kidneys. Thank you again and good luck with others' who listed to what your videos have to expressed.

    I’m 25, newly diagnosed with diabetes type 2. Five years ago I didn’t have diabetes (fasting glucose always came back around 80 on bloodwork back then), but my eGFR was 78. Now my eGFR is 76, and I’ve asked both my primary care dr and my endocrinologist if I need to be concerned about that. Both are phenomenal, informative and attentive doctors by the way, but both of them said that my eGFR is normal and not to worry because my other blood levels (like creatinine) are right in the middle of normal…. but I’m worried nonetheless. Apparently eGFR can be naturally on the lower side of normal for some people, but I’m really trying to keep it at 76 for a looooong time now by changing my diet and doing regular exercise.

    Thanks so much for this channel. Today's episode was very timely as my PCP is sending me to a nephrologist. I've had D-2 for 15 years. Thanks for explaining that the endocrinologist doesn't always respond to reduced kidney function. I was wondering about that. Pretty scary, but I've faced worse. Blood sugars are fairly controlled. My heart and vascular systems are good. I've lost 30 pounds this year and trying for more. So I hope this will be a meet and greet and not sign of bad things to come. This episode was very helpful.

    I had both acute and long term arsenic poisoning that nearly killed me. The number one way it kills you is renal failure. I was a dying man and the medical profession could not help me.
    I finally went to see an herbalist with two PhDs who was able to turn things around which really surprised some of the MDs I was seeing.
    Now 20 years later I am an apothecary, and help people live. I have herbs for almost any disease or medical condition including neuropathy, diabetes, and the kidneys. My number one recommendation for the kidneys is dandelion root. Usually though when helping someone with kidney problems I also like to treat the liver.

    • @ibberman
      @ibberman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will start the dandelion root for my kidneys, what would you recommend for fatty liver ? Thank you.

    • @theprophetez1357
      @theprophetez1357 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ibberman The dandelion will help, but you need milk thistle too. Do not use GNC or any poll type "herb" or you will pretty much be wasting your$$$. You need the ac th ual herb or a good quality tincture.
      There is a process though to making it work. I probably have both in stock, and can ship them with the details on proper usage. With shipping it would be $68.00 in the US.
      It will be the same formula I use to get rid of help C.

    This information is so important because...well for a lot of reasons but for one all doctors are not created equal. We usually end up with a very expensive conversation with no instruction on how to really improve the quality of life while battling this disease.

    A couple of months ago while showering I noticed the strong odor of ammonia. I smelled the water, it wasn’t that, wasn’t the shampoo or the bar of soap, nope, it was my hair! It’s a faint odor when my hair is dry, but when it’s wet it’s woefully smelly. I’m told this problem is related to my kidneys. I’m a diabetic, diagnosed around four years ago.
