Words don’t cover Rob do they ?
Carbon Bike Repair should be trending on any and every cycling site worldwide for what he did there.
For the 75k addition, find a disabled kids charity/school there (or failing that, adults) and do a talk to them on the whole thing. 100% guaranteed to inspire someone there and probably all of them there.
Justin’s laugh is enough to inspire most.

I love this idea for the 75k challenge. I'm sure there would be some logistical challenges, particularly with timing. Maybe if they plan to take a rest day near the end in a big city, something could be pulled together. Maybe in Phoenix or Las Vegas? Maybe us viewers could collectively sponsor a small giveaway as a prize for an attendee at the talk.

I’m lucky enough to know and have ridden with Rob. He’s a truly wonderful man. I’m riding around on the first carbon bike that he ever repaired too! My Strava tells me that I’ve now ridden 29,000+ miles on it and the repair is still perfect. This act of kindness is typical of this man’s warm and generous heart. A bit of his crazy side too! It is in his DNA to be so caring; his parents ran a charity back in South Africa that looked after AIDS orphans.
How about all of these people who have commented, donated just one £ or $ or € as a way of saying thank you for how good it felt to see such a great act of kindness. Let’s put our money where our mouths are!

I use to work in a shop at my work, a large airline, that did fiberglass and carbon fiber repair on various aircraft parts. We used several different types of resin depending on the application. We also used pre-impregnated sheets of fiberglass or carbon that we kept frozen until needed and then baked them in large autoclave ovens under vacuum. Rob doing a repair outside, without proper work space or tooling would be tough to not get a bunch of bubbles trapped in the layers without a plastic release and a squeegee since there's no way to vacuum bag the repair. Like he said, it's just a temporary repair to get you guys across the finish....Good Luck.
And good on Rob for doing such a great thing

Wow, Rob - good show!!! I suspect from your comments on the phone call that you were moved to do this by your admiration for what the gents are doing, and you don't need thanks from us strangers on the internet, but THANK YOU! Absolutely amazing and inspiring. I hope to have the chance to do something that amazing some day.
Justin & Francis: I'm sure you guys would never toot your own horns in this way, but please don't underestimate the impact that you yourselves have on inspiring all the support you're getting. Not just the grandness of the task and the videos, but also your attitude in facing the difficulties, your choice to focus on the positives, your smiles and personalities, and the way you interact with the people you meet. It's all a really great example to the rest of us on how to take on life. I am sure that whoever inspired each of you is beaming with pride and joy if they are watching this (looking at you @Lizzie Cade :) )

Been following your entire journey. I do a lot of on road riding in a number of US states and seeing some of the roads you’re traveling on makes me REALLY anxious. Been thinking this since the start, but if there’s any way to move Justin’s flag to the outer left side of his bike (closest to traffic) it would be safer and encourage knowledgeable drivers to move over and give the 3’ minimum passing distance that’s law in most states. Be safe! Rock on and ride on!
