Thank you so much for sharing this powerful interview. Pastor Phil, you are an awesome actor. Your portrayal of Rabbi Akiva got my attention the first time you entered the scene in Episode 5 of Season 3. ❤🤗🕊🙌 Continue to bring glory to the Father. Shalom Shalom Shalom Shalom Shalom Shalom ❤
Wow! This interview is an impartation. I was enlightened so much. Thank you for you aren't only acted in Chosen, you shared your changed spiritual perspective! God bless you
Second interview I've heard of Phillip- each a huge blessing. I could listen to him for hours, such wisdom and passion for the truth of our Lord! Thank you for this; may it reach many that need what is shared here. 👏🏻✝️
Pastor Phil, I really enjoy your interviews. You are so open and passionate about the Lord! You’re a great Rabbi Akiva. I love seeing you even though you’re intensions are not the best for Jesus. :) May God continue to bless you and your family ❤🙏 😊
No. He was not. He said the foundations of Rabbinic Judaism, and help create the Masoretic text, that undermines the prophecies in the Old Testament that were told Jesus as Messiah.
@@Methodius-and-Cyril No you're wrong. He's a follower of Jesus. He's Assyrian, his dad lived in Assyria and Iraq and was an interpreter for Southern Baptists visitors preaching the gospel. From that he became a believer and was so on fire for God that the Baptists told him he should be a preacher. He started preaching on the radio there and met his wife at the studio. The Baptists actually sent him and his wife as missionaries to Chicago and that's how Philip Shahbaz the actor came to be born in the US of Assyrian ancestry and grow up in a dedicated Christian family and came to Christ himself and later joined the cast of The Chosen which he was a big fan of before joining.
His talent really comes through the screen! Very impactful. Even though he is a Pharisee and supposedly a villain but he commands the scene when he is in it.
Wonderful interview. Second interview I have seen with you, Phillip. I saw one of you with the “laughing Pharisees” actor. This interview is a sermon! Well done.
I was a weak Christian before watching The Chosen. I now attend church and a bible study because some of us are visual learners. I like the humanity and deity of Jesus. It really helps me.
Mr. Phillip's acting as Rabbi Akiva is too intimidating, even I was quite frightened by his stares once he was at the scenes from Season 3 until Season 4🤣🤣. It's a beauty work of art by Mr. Phillip that we can see how Jesus was rejected so bad by the Pharisees in The Chosen (especially S4 E3, Moon to Blood). I can't hide my excitement when we can see how Jesus confronts maybe Rabbi Akiva in the "Tax Scene" or when the People turned their Synagogues to a Transaction Court🤣!
Awesome interview!!
Phillip also is Altair from Assassin's Creed, awesome seeing him acting!
Good interveiw
Excellent interview.
Great interview!! Loved the way he explained everything!!
His eyes are great at portraying Blasphemy. Love Rabbi Akivva.

This was a great interview
I would not recognize him, love it.
The thick, black, robes don't help either. Haha.

@@c1humleyare you saying that Rabbinic Judaism came before Christ?
@@Methodius-and-Cyril No, What on earth are you talking about? Never mind. You don't make sense.

Rabbi Akiva sees G-d in 613 ways - WOW!
A reminder that we can get distracted by our own rules and customs, right?
Loved this! We really miss all of you at LBF. Lynn Saunders
Miss ya back!

"Smiling" pharisees. But we laugh too. Haha. We'll do something again once S4 comes to streaming.

I have a much better opinion of Akiva. I was struggling with unforgiveness. Thank you for your faith ❤

I hope that some ultra-Orthodox rabbis will listen to Shahbaz's words. He is fantastic.
Oh, you are absolutely the best actor for this role! Your expressions brings the character to life and gives emotion to the scenes.

Where can I watch season 4?
An (obvious egocentric) Arab playing the rol of Aqivah. Hmm. It makes me think that maybe, Jesus of _Nazareth_ was Arab too. It makes sense.
