We got a chance to ride brand new 2018 Gasgas EC 300 2 stroke Enduro dirt bike at Gas Gas USA press event at Motoventures in Anza CA. Bike has been completely redesigned for this model year with plenty of new components, 300 2 stroke engine delivers very pleasant power band.

Dirt Hammers Dual Sport & Adventures ...they rip man. I test rode a few of the 2015 Betas and the 300 was very similar to my 2011 GG Nambotin 300. Mine actually had a bit more fun factor. Not bad for a 4 year older bike. It's great to see Gasgas back in the game and they look to have a bright future.

yes!! you know, paella,toros,sol.. jeje in europe the best brands of enduro bikes: ktm- gas gas-beta-sherco-husqvarna-tm.. but the others brands can't compete with ktm because ktm expends more publicity and have more more money.. but the others brands have very quality and good components with low prices.. pay 8800 euros ( 8500 dollars) for a ktm 300 tpi is too money, when the others brands for 7000 dollars are very good or better ..

no,i have a 2010 racing 300.. i dude buy a beta or this gas gas.. now in spain the gas gas ec300 racing 2018 top version with kayaba susp. & electric start cost 7600 -7950 euros depends the dealer.. 8500-8900 usdollars

Nice video. How does handle vibrations to the rider? Does she come with mapping switch? How many milles will she do with one full tank?

I haven't really felt any disturbing vibration while riding it, if I am not mistakes there was no map switch. I am not sure about the fuel economy, once I have chance to ride it for full day I will let you know. Thanks!

Which should i consider between this and the ktm 300 tpi
That looks very nice. Do you think it was lean on the needle? A couple times like at 2:37 made me think that. I get that same sound sometimes and curious your opinion on that. I hope you get to have one for a few days to test some more like you mentioned. How fun!!
it was in 4000feet elevation, so it might have been bit rich.. also sometimes I was in wrong gear, it has wide ratio transmission, I need little more time to get feel for it. Yea, hope it works out and we can do in depth review!
You did great on it! It's hard for me to tell sometimes when it makes that noise if that's pinging or stuttering. Listening back to 2:37 again does sound like a rich stutter. Thank you for the reply!

I'm preety sure the bike is and feels amazing. Just wonder why and what makes it an Euro 4 bike. If you have the chance, run a marble through the exhaust pipe (fatty expansion chamber part) to check for us all if it has any kind of catalytic converter. Had problems with such an exhaust once having bought one - not knowing - for my Husaberg.

choke sounds better ,, enduro bikes dont have high compression so decomp is not likley
It's a choke men, it's the same for 2014 / 2015 and 2017 older models.. It's not pratice..

How would you compare GasGas bikes to the KTM bikes(in this cas 300 2stroke), by price quality...???
Gasgas is established European brand, they are very competitive in price and quality. This was first time riding one and I have to say I felt great on it, good quality components and parts, felt really durable. If I am not mistakes MSRP will be very similar to KTM

Everything is never all good if you know what i mean. Like wheght, soft /hard suspension standard tire etc etc

i think so, look into 125cc 4 stroke or 85cc 2 stroke. You can always upgrade once you have more experience and grow little more. No need for the big bike int the beginning, it would slow down your progress.

hey how long can a 2 stroke last before it blows up
if you take care of it I think you can get 50-100 hours
it heavily depends on your type of riding, 50-100h maybe in desert racing or motocross, if you talk about enduro it's way better, i got a ktm exc 250 piston with 182h on my desk and it doesn't look too bad either, some of my friends are over 200h on their pistons (all ktms 250) and are still going strong, i'll check mine soon (70h) but i'm not expecting it to be worn out at all (i'm slow as fuck ahahah)
i have a gas gas ec 300 and with care 200 hours in slow enduro and 100-150 in motocross.. and with forged piston like wiseco or wossner and good mix oil .. more hours !!

+Alican Akkaş yes, it comes with fmf stock. EC model has only FMF silencer, XC model has full FMF system.
