preach it brothers! great to see the band on stage doin' what only Mandrill can do! peace and love . this is one of the songs you can't help but sing along to.
I was at this show. I remember they jammed Funky Monkey during rehearsal - sound check! I met Lou RIP, confusing him for Wolf. He was gracious and kind. One of the greatest bands.
That song puts a tear in my eyes every time I hear it! I'm 61 and I had the original album! They still sound just as good today as they did in the 70's !!!!!!!!
Yes, I agree.... Didn't know that they're still performing around the States. That's great! This song is also a great love song that timeless........I came here to see the footage on this great band "Mandrill".....
Reinaldo Green Yes, looks like most of them are...The three older men on Background vocals are the Wilson Brothers Carlos, Ric and Lou...sadly Lou passed away a few years ago. Not sure who is singing lead but he sure sounds like Lou...I'm inclined to believe it must be his son.
+James Burns A Grandfather story of how he build his family and the struggle of death though his generations. The box of wood is his casket. like RIP Grandpa no more struggle.
One of my all time favorite bands!!! So incredibly talented and highly under-rated!! Always loved this song soooo!! R.I.P Lou Wilson...
I love this song, even as it makes me sad. It reminds me of my Dad who left us on December 21, 1995. Miss him still.
Its a great song that's timeless.......

@PF149 AAAAAAH, it's even! The accolades aren't even, but the level of artistry and the level of respect is.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIC WILSON OF MANDRILL (NOVEMBER 5, 2019)
It's going back to the basic's. you start out with a house of wood, and when you die you go back to wood after going over all the other elements.
so sweet

DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE STILL PERFORMING. ARE THESE THE ORIGINAL MADNRILL. FOOTAGE IS KIND OF POOR.

Carlos Wilson is singing here, as he did in the original recording. His vocals are unique.
