Groomer here: Since your puppy is only 4 months old of course she doesn't have any mats! Around 6-7 months old she'll start Puppy Coat Change where the puppy coat starts falling out while the adult coat comes in. Depending on the mix of the Doodle, this can take up to two years to complete! And with most Doodle coats that Puppy hair will just get tangled and start matting quarter of an inch from her skin. You'll find that easy puppy coat will start matting within *days*, for the next year or two. As long as you Line-Brush down to the skin with a good slicker (not the cheap plastic Pin brush with balls on the end which will shred matted hair) every 2 days, then your cute puppy will stay mat-free through the entire coat change!
First of all I just want to say thank you for the awesome tips! I brush her every day bc I love her coat when it’s fluffy looking :) which brush do you like bc when I used my other brush with the metal pins she didn’t like it. She likes the wet brush, which brand brush do you recommend?
