Indeed. I most definitely took a fall and my head went flying into the door. I haven’t skated inside since and I had plenty of room but my momentum was just to much.
i kept making skid marks in the kitchen and living room and my mum is a skater too so it was okay for the first few days but now she's so annoyed she's building a rink in the basement

Hey! I'm in China and have been through the whole quarantine here and virus situation! I did lots of balancing and squatting on my skates (I'm beginner so can't do those moves on my skates!) Wish I'd had this video earlier! Stay positive, stay healthy, hygienic and you'll get through this! Don't panic!!

I just got my roller skates two weeks ago you’ve been so great and inspiring. At first my shins were uncomfortable. The muscles in my body were not used to scaring at all. I started on the grass. Now I can go down a ramp slowly and I can jump 180 and stop. Thanks girlies

Pad up and practice the basics
Learn how to fall! That helped me get over some of my fear, now that I know the “proper” way to fall I know most of the time it won’t be that bad and it helped me accept it as a normal inevitability if I want to grow and improve :)

This is perfect (possibly somewhat advanced), for me. I purchased skates to, finally, learn the mechanics & plan to skate on the back patio--away from prying eyes/social media. My concentration will be on staying upright, being I haven't skated on quads since 7th grade at the rink, some 40 years ago.

The footwork heel/toes/in/out thing is called Tick Tocks and has a lot of origins in Swing Dancing (although I'm not entirely sure about the full history) :)
Also you can practice slalom i small places whit bottlecaps. :) I love your videos girls.

I’m about a week into relearning to skate at 26. I LOVED skating as a kid and then totally forgot about it. Your videos give me so much inspiration! And the skate community as a whole; being so unashamed of falling, of flailing, of figuring it out. So fucking cool!

I got inspired to see you justifying that one can learn in a small space. I am so grateful to you and your lovely friend . one thing is that my wheel dont turn, they get stuck to the floor .. is it just me, or the wheels need loosening or tightening ?
I finally got my skates in October but I live in a state that experiences a lot of ice and snow in the fall, winter, and early spring. I have only skated once because of this and wishful thinking that quarantine would be "over soon" but here were are almost a year after this video was posted 😬 I think it's finally time to practice indoors so I'm ready for when the weather warms up!

Hi Indy(sorry for my English I'm from Slovakia) I have roller Skates FILA. And I have wheels 54×32mm and I don't know if they are good for skating outdoor or dancing. I just wanted to know because I love roller skating but none of my friends want to go skate outside because they don't know how to roller skate. So yeah I just wanted to know that because a really love roller skating and I don't know if wheels that I have (54×32mm) are good for outdoor skating ramps or sometnig for outside.
