about an engine almost 100% the same as the one I am trying to
work on while trying to find a different PDF.

I will try. It is put away in storage atm. The temp sensor broke and I can't ride it for now. I plan on fixing it when my other jobs slow down.

I will like to know if you can tell me. How many tooth are on the inner and outer starter motor sprocket gears. I have same engine and can't find a gearing that fits.
I have never counted them.

I tried to have a look today. I can't see all the wires without removing the flares sorry.
That is not a timing issue it is a compression issue and it is most likely the compression release tab on the cam isn't working mine does the same thing and I can manually choke it by placing my hand over the carburetor so that it don't suck in as much air and it will crank over without any struggle or I can use a stronger battery and crank it and over come the compression
You are correct it isn't a timing problem. I now have workshop info and learned the timing is self-managed. In this case, it was the wiring. The person who gave it to me had a go at trying to fix it and failed but in saying that the person who gave it to him might have been the one who reconnected it all wrong. The Quad is going great now. After this part-2 clip, th-cam.com/video/VyPbHptfrPs/w-d-xo.html I have finished putting it all back together enjoyed a few days camping and riding the quad through the scrub. The carby needs some work I think as it runs rich and has slow build-ups in power but once you get going and the rpm up the quad runs great.
@@TEKNOFIED cool glad you was able get it figured out and going the one I have is a 250cc and I had to bypass pretty much all of the wiring on it because the person I got it from had butchered the harness pretty bad and to crank it over I jump it straight to the starter and to get it spinning over fast enough when it's cold I have to completely choke the the carburetor off so it can't get as much air but once it has ran for a bit and warmed up it will start by the time makes a complete turn of the crank
Where is the compression release tab located on this engine ?

Where is the radiator?
The radiator I am using on this ATV now is a heater core from a car. The one that was on it was very small and wasn't cooling the system down enough.
What battery do you use for the ignition?
Just a standard motorbike 12v battery
