    Thanks brother, this is exactly what I was looking to be able to do with the MPC and my hardware synths. I bought the MPC after new update allowing audio interface, but the looper is a bit lacking. I got the MPC instead of waiting for the new Boss Looper coming out, but even though the looper is weaker than I expected, everything else about the MPC has blown me way and now going to keep it even though it doesn't do exactly what I originally was hoping for.
    But this workaround gets close. Hopefully Akai will update this in the future, should be an easy update if they focus on it at all. It seems like they should combine the looper with the clip launcher, both are two of the weakest functions they have. Record loop and drops it into a clip program then allowing to easily adjust bar sizes etc.

      I hadn't thought about that but that is the perfect idea to combine the looper with clips. Excellent 👌 glad you're liking the ONE have fun!!! Thanks for watching and leaving the comment. This comment gets a pin 📌✌

    Saw this was possible work around on another video, but couldn’t work it out. You’ve made it much clearer and it works wonderfully! I am looping to a few tracks using modular synth. I discovered testing this workflow out that for me, looping separate tracks, putting th trigger on a separate track, still on pad 1 on each track, and each track having its own program makes for a better work flow. First, it seem,s when you export the loop it automatically gives the next free track. So that gets your loop going pretty quick. Secondly, you can set up different effects on each track that can then be controlled by q-links or separate gear. Also you can set up program volumes to be set to different Qlink volumes....or you could set the tracks I guess. What that means is you can mix the pads more easily. You can probably do that anyway, I just find it easier. As for setting up the triggers, I’ve only just thought of an interesting way to try it... set up the first trigger track: program 1, and the pad 1 trigger; then set the midi routing to send to track 2, program 2. That trigger will then play the same trigger note ( I think). Set track 2 to send midi to track 3, program 3....and so on. Keep going, you’re doing great. I’m a Church of England minister in the uk.... as well as being a musician DJ and kids book illustrator. Keep being creative and giving God your focus and talents, peace and blessings!

    Somthing else that works dope for live looping is using clip launch mode. You can create your own loops as tracks then bounce the track to a sample and throw them on pads to launch as clips. With a little planning you can set up some intricate live performances across different sequences and have parts where you can preform live over it as well. Its good for experimenting with new tracks also.

    • @LiftedNoise
      @LiftedNoise  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank You for the insight 🙏 I've never used clips at all! But I've been recently curious to explore them.

      @@LiftedNoise Yea man np. I just recently started trying them out myself and am really loving the feature so far. Aside from making my own loops to use its also great if you grab samples off Splice or somewhere too. Sometimes I'll just find a dope drum or melodic loop I like, throw it on a clip and preform live over it to build out a new track. Its really versatile if you get creative with it and you can put some nice sets together.

    If You Wanna MultiTrack Its Better To Record On The Audio Tracks, That Way You Achieve Your Goal Of Live Looping And You'll Have Separated Audio Files To Chop Later, And You Can Trigger Them The Same Way In A Drum Program...

      I think that is it's best purpouse. If you want to record in audio in sync with your sequence and you don't necessarily want it hitting on the 1. Otherwise you'll have to program your pad hit in where you want it. Not impossible but this makes it easier.

      Thanks for sharing. Both have their dedicated uses. Live looping always been a fascinating thing to me but I don't utilize it so not a big deal for me with the mpc looper limitations. I have found good use of it though. Best case is, if I need to resample a part that doesn't hit exactly on the one, the looper will get me a more accurate loop than if I where to do it in the sampler screen.

    Thanks for this! I wanted to see the looping options within the mpc one and I think I’ve got a better idea of its capabilities now. This looper function looks like a great way to explore ideas and make beats, but not sure how useful it is for live looping, especially if you want to add samples from the mpc on the fly. I’ve never used an mpc one so I’m not sure if there are ways to adapt the workflow for live looping… Perhaps it allows for less menu diving during the performance if you create a looping template beforehand?

    • @LiftedNoise
      @LiftedNoise  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea it's not your best option by a long shot if your mainly a live looping performer. I've only used the looper for recording an external synth in sync with sequences. I think that's it's strength. Definitely make a template for this if you want use it like this.

      You can set it on and it will automatically quantization to the settings you choose or it can be turned off.

    It would be dope if there was the option to have every 4 bar recorded loop got its own wave file, smart work around tho

      Yea definitely that would be great 👍if the looper had it's very own dedicated tracks that would be nice too.
