You guys were awesome! I really wanted to make it out for Lou! I admire him so much and glad that he went to your store! Anytime you have big announcements to make let me know and I’ll be there! Keep up the awesome place you have for us collectors to call home!
Yes indeed! It's one of the best things about the hobby. Especially when the guys in the stores, swap meets, etc. are friendly and make the time to talk about what they have with you.
LOVE IT JOEY! 🥳 I've found some of my best treasures in out-of-the-way toy shops across the country..🤯.nothing better than a toy hunt! 🤩Thanks for sharing!
Hey Benj! It was such a fun run and all the peeps were super cool! Even the collectors I got to chat with were super stoked on what they were finding. That’s what it’s all about! Loved it :)
I love going to Rogue Toys, Big Bang Toys and Toy Shack everytime I am in Vegas. Did you already go to Frank and Sons? I live close and I would have treated you to lunch or dinner. Let me know next time your in town because there are other toy stores.
Oh man oh man!!! DUDE that would be epic to have you come out and show me around frank and sons!!! And lunch is on me buddy! Just point me to the best local spots! I gotta get my eats on after a toy hunt! There is a great Mexican food joint on the way back to San Deigo so maybe this will be a food AND toy hunt show haha! I’ll DM you before I go!!
That was awesome. I already told my wife the next time we are in Vegas we will be on a toy mission. That Soundwave 😍🔥. You made me laugh with the shot of your haul towards the end with Ahsoka feet up. 😂. Thanks again for sharing your journey. Cheers
Hahaha yea I should have just opened the box and put her right side up, but I thought it was funny too! That Vegas toy run was so much fun! But bring good shoes, cash, and Gatorade! It was hot! Thanks for watching my friend!
What an absolutely amazing toy hunt this was. Seems like I'm in Vegas once a year for work at least, and I never get a chance to go out exploring like this. Next time I head out that way I'm going to have to hit up a few shops. I never would have guessed there was so much vintage Star Wars and so many toy specific shops. I appreciate you shedding some light on these places and just the amount of product that is out there in that one town. Glad to hear also that some of the shops had some reasonable pricing. Picked up a lot of great stuff on this run Joey. What a fun adventure buddy.
Nice finds!👌 There is a nicer version of the Rebel Commando, has a molded face like Luke Jedi. Not as pricey, but harder to come by too👍Also, don't ✋store your figures in any of the carrying cases, it will discolor them😬, especially the vinal ones. Happy tip☝️😉
Man how did I not know about the moulded face! I think the reference sites I’ve been using excludes a lot of these variants! Thanks for letting me know about that!
Thanks General! I am meditating like Yoda getting ready for that toy hunt! It’s going to be a big one! I may have to draw diagrams haha! Thanks for watching my friend!
Great Vegas toy hunt, I have been to a few stores in Vegas and met the owners Rogue toys Steve and toy shack Johnny.. I send you a pic on the peg warmers chat 💪😉
Thanks Deano! That’s a great toy town! I haven’t been to another city (yet) that has so many toy shops in one area. Granted I haven’t been to Florida for toy hunts. John seems to know 50 shops in his town haha.
Great toy hunt! You went to some cool stores. No substitute for those actual brink and mortar stores and meeting people. Always fun to make a trip like that. I have a molded face Rebel Commando variant, which is cool because no paint rubs. Thanks for another video!
I was going to say the same thing. The molded face is cool and I usually see it available from the UK so maybe it’s Palitoy? I think it has the China COO.
Awesome video Joey! My two favourite things… Star Wars & Las Vegas. I’ve been to Gold & Silver Pawn shop, Toy Shack & Ultimate Sports Cards when I did the Pawn Stars Tour. but I’ll definitely check out some of these other shops next time I’m there.
There is also a place called Brads Toys. They said it was more modern so that’s why I didn’t make it 9 stores and I had a plane to catch but that’s going to be one of my stops next time! It’s a great toy town for sure!
I've been to Rogue Toys here in Vegas. It's a legit store for sure. I got some Lego Star Wars figures from their coin op machine. Slave Leia is in my collection now - in Lego form. Also got a vintage Cloud Car pilot there in good shape. Toy Shack is a great place too. I sold a few non-Star Wars stuff there a few years ago. They were pretty good about it. I've never had Star Wars collectors cards but they sure are cool. The Rebel commando is one I'd like to find someday. I'm surprised that I didn't get one back in the day. Alternate Reality Comics is a great place. I love shopping there. Brad's Toy Shop is a good place to check out next time you come. Great video with interesting info even I hadn't seen before, like about the cards.
That’s awesome that you know about all these stores! There are some items that I would love to sell there, but idk if I can pack them all up and then by then was the trip worth it for me? Have to consider gas now haha! But buying, yes! There were a ton of rebel commandos I see, but all of them never have the accessory! Thanks for going on the trek with me John, sounds like you are a Vegas toy shop aficionado! MTFBWY
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Yes, one of the things I enjoy about living in a 'big city' (not as big as New York or something, but the biggest one I've ever lived in) is the wide variety of places to buy and sell stuff. I don't always buy something when I shop, but I do enjoy the hunt anyway. My wife and I will sometimes just 'window shop', even in the really expensive stores on the strip, just for something to do. Everybody knows Vegas for gambling, but they don't always know that it's becoming a destination for geeking out too. Lots of hobby stores, comic book stores, video game stores, video game arcades (like the Pinball Hall of Fame which is bigger and better than ever) etc. I try to get around to as many different ones as I can for the variety of it. Buying and selling on Facebook groups is fun too, but it's not the same experience as seeing the stuff in person in a store. Especially when you find a store with cool employees who let you hold the collectibles and really look them over. Yeah, I can totally understand not wanting to bring stuff here to sell. It would be rather expensive and risky given the way airlines treat baggage. In fact, if I went to another city and bought anything that was bigger than a few action figures and was worth money, I'd probably ship it back home via DHL or UPS rather than on the plane. Next time I go shopping, I'll have to be on the lookout for Endor Commando Leia and Rebel Commando. Why I didn't get those back in the day, I'll never know. Seems like I focused on the Imperial troops and the versions of our heroes that we see the most in the movies instead back then. Good to know that the Rebel troops aren't going for insane money.....yet. MTFBWY
Awesome Joey. Hope you enjoyed Vegas. Awesome pick ups dude. The Rebel Commando is cool. I have few of him loose and one moc (have a bit of a soft spot). Cheers Joey hope u r well mate 🤘
Thanks XDD!!! Vegas is funner with toy hunts :). That’s great that you’ve gravitated towards that figure! Is there a story behind that? Thanks for watching my friend!
Cool Shopping Tour Joey. I love the Topps Cards to...specially from the Original Trilogy, I stopt my Collection after The Galaxy 3 Series and 4 Binders full of Cards 😍... 20 Years ago. That's one of my Childhood Treasures. One Question, what do you think about the Retro collection from Hasbro ? Greatings
Thanks Daniel! Yes the cards are a great memory for me and that’s the main reason why I collect them too! I actually prefer the retro line of hasbro action figures to the black series or TVC. Since I collect Kenner vintage it fits more along my style. I know the black series have better articulation and molds but I’m more of an in box collector so the old style mint on cards is a plus for me. Thanks for watching my friend!
A display with the wrong accessories would have driven my autistic side crazy! But Kenner didn't help with their own strange choices...a Hoth rebel blaster for the ATAT commander? The same blaster for Bespin Han? What!? And yes, the Bespin rebel commando rifle was a nightmare, I think I ended up giving my original away as a GI JOE thing to a friends nephew. I had to replace it recently...not cheap, but necessary! Another great video, Joey!
Heya Joey! Great Show as ever! The Rebel Commando has two major variants and that is the Plastic Skin and Painted Helmet Variant and the Painted Face. I have five Commando’s and I think that Painted Face is the one outstanding Figure amongst them? The other’s have skin coloured plastic. The Painted Face is a Taiwan COO?
Excellent video as always! I have that same green wooden box with a bunch of metal army soldiers in it from my childhood that I managed to hold on to all these years (I'm 47). Not sure where I got that box, or if something came inside it. Do you have any idea what originally came inside?
Hahahaha! I think we all did something like that when we were kids! I remember burring my GI Joe figs lol. Thanks for watching Hamm, and being a member of the channel!
Haha I won’t hold my breath! It’s amazing how those vintage cars are worth so much though! I remember having the original dukes of hazard hot wheels collection. I bet those are worth some money mint. Thanks for going on that journey with me Eddie!

Toy hunts like this are a great way to spend a day. Never know what you find and usually pick up things you never expect.
I totally agree Deviax! Something therapeutic about toy hunts. Even if I don’t buy I love how it calms me. Thanks for watching my friend!
