Chris, that repair was amazing. I've been practicing dent repairs for 12 years and I honestly would not have attempted that one. Watching your videos is building my confidence though! Thanks for all the great vids!
Honestly I'm impressed I've been doing auto body repair for more than 10 years and I'm always looking for best ways to perfect my skills and just by watching how you perform these type of repairs is unbelievable
Chris nice work and love how you showed your equip after. And kudos for a real after video- too many others painting when real techs know the difference. Keep it up! #PDRSKILLS
Well done man, that was not easy on black and you showed plenty of reflection in your video. I always appreciate when someone doesn't hide and truly shows their work. I think you're absolutely on the right track by polishing the SlapperTapper and really using it well on long crease crowns like what you had there, Actually it's more filing first and then polishing, you really want to find the right shape on the end of the faceplate to match your unique striking motion. File it and then test it until it makes those "Nothing Marks".... and then polish it or just use one sheet of tape like me. Excellent repair and video, you really make it fun and interesting to watch your videos. Thanks for using the 24 Heavy Duty Dent Dial and Happy Pushing :)
If you had to pick one tool to pickup and mess around and start learning what would you recommend? I was thinking a double bend with replacement tipS maybe 32 inches? I do have a glue pulling kit and reflector already
Chris, The work of a true master I would say you got that one to 98% I personally would have spent 9-10 hours and maybe got 95% . You are a true artist. Just now in this field that you are the top of the 1%. That’s what I aim for. I hope to get to the level of business and being able to train others but for now my show is just me n wifey. PDR does the dents wifey does the TH-cam:) bam! Thanks for this video I see you’re explaining and showing a lot more lately It can do nothing but help. I appreciate everything you do. Garth and Samantha. PDR
I will say this, one slight comment that if you are making a video it should take precedent over your tech tapping while your talking lol :) love ya bro
Hate fenders that have a crown right above the body line on fenders. Great repair though and I have been on the fence about buying that pirate hook tool heard good things about it though. Thanks for rating the difficulty
I often see pdr guys do a light wet sand and buff when they are done to get the final little bit. Do you ever do that? Would it make some repairs even better?
New to the channel and I've noticed you never mention the cost to the client for these repairs? Also, are there any jobs that you don't get back to 100% but only 80 or 85%?
I try not to talk about price on youtube because it varies base on location but I would say most of the experience pdr technicians try to have similar pricing to a auto dealership labor rate for their area. So in Washington DC. It’s $130-165 per hour Hope this answers your question
In my country that kind of work in the best shop of the City (highest quality) would cost 100$ maximum 150$, there are others that would do it for 30$ still good work unnoticeable
