I totally agree with some of the other commenters that your first piece should be finished . it is a great reminder of your grandmothers love and time she shared with you. Look how far you have come. I'm sure she would be proud, all of your stitching is beautiful!

Good job on your first FlossTube video! 🎉 So enjoyed seeing your many projects and learning about your heritage. I think you should finish your first piece into a table runner but leave the first flower you stitched "as is" because it's a special part of your stitching journey and a connection with your grandmother. 💕

More, more, more!… You are fun to watch. I love your history, and that clothing and stitching is such a big part of Ukrainian values and heritage. I just loved listening to you. Yes, I want to see more of your stitching if your grandmother has more stitching, just love it. Best of everything to you.

Lovely FLosstube. Great job. If that piece of stitched linen was stitched by my grandmother and myself, I’d finish stitching my portion and then add a beautiful fringe all along edge and keep it and wear as a shawl for special occasion so you always can wear and remember your grandmother. Beautiful stitching.

How lovely that you have your first cross stitching on the same fabric as you Grandmother's stitching. You could make her stitching the front of a pillow and then put your stitching (either as is or finished) on the back. Looking forward to your next floss time.

I really enjoyed your flosstube. It was so interesting to see and hear about your traditional Ukrainian stitching. It’s is absolutely beautiful. The piece you did with your grandmother is very special. I would finish your part. Leave your childhood stitches as these are a reminder of you as a little girl. It’s very special. I think I would frame it as an heirloom piece. I loved your shirts, they are stunning. And also enjoyed learning about the special towels. The small pieces you stitched with the Dream plane and the yellow and blue one with the bird were stunning. Small pieces that say so much. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Well done on your first flosstube.

I was watching Sarah’s Stitching Spot, who mentioned your flosstube video - am starting at the beginning and enjoying it very much. My first instinct of what to do with your first cross stitch project, in collaboration with your grandmother, was to make it into a table runner, but someone mentioned a pillow, and that really speaks to me. My opinion about the piece you and your grandmother made … it is done. It marks the start of your cross stitch journey, and is a beautiful reminder of conversations between you and her. Please do not do anymore frogging, that will only erase memories. I would store it with a written account of it’s history, or frame it in a two sided frame so both sides could viewed. Great video!

Lovely first flosstube! I, too, learned to cross stitch from my grandmother and mother (over 60 years ago!) They immigrated to the U.S. from Ukraine (Volyn region) after World War II.
One artifact that I still have is the рушник (towel) my grandmother stitched as a young girl. Its framed and proudly displayed in my home. Perhaps you could finish your piece and display it as a table runner. It would be a lovely tribute to the special time you had with your grandmother . 🇺🇦Слава Украіні

What a fabulous first flosstube! I loved hearing all about Ukrainian stitching and seeing the kits and charts you have to work on. Of course your shirts are the stars of the show. They’re soooo gorgeous! I am a fellow flosstuber from Northern Ireland and last summer has the honour of hosting a Ukrainian mum and daughter here. They showed me some of the embroideries online and I was amazed but seeing yours is so much more real. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm with us! Please could you just clarify your name for me on your next video. I didn’t hear it quite right. Is it Tatiana? Apologies if I’ve gotten it wrong. I very much look forward to seeing your stitching from other places too, but please keep your wonderful stitching heritage alive, even on yellow fabric 😉

Thank you for your kind words. And god bless your for hosting Ukrainian family. Yes, our stitching heritage is beautiful, I can't wait for time when people will be able to travel Ukraine to discover it on their own eyes.

I loved loved loved your first Flosstube and I am looking forward to the next one!! Thank you very much for sharing so much of Ukrainian culture with us - all of those designs are gorgeous. Ukraine has such a rich embroidery tradition! Sarah, the Stitchin' Mommy, will be delighted that you are doing her Temperature Butterflies and I think the black that you used is the perfect choice for that day, not only for Ukrainians but also for those of us who are outraged by what is happening to your country. I also have cats, and no cross stitch is complete without a few cat hairs woven in.

Thank you so much for those words! It's a heartbreaking experience and I'm still looking for ways to live with it. Stitching helps a lot.
Say hi to your cats from me 😉

Wonderful video! I absolutely enjoyed seeing all your projects. Thank you so much for this trip into Ukraine's tradition of stitching and embroidery. On another note, I also live with several languages in my head, and totally understand the situation where a word comes up in the head in all the languages except the one you are actually speaking. I know the struggle is real

What a fabulous first flosstube. I learnt so much about beautiful Ukrainian stitching. I am feeling inspired to stitch on clothing now. I think you should finish your first piece of stitching as a tribute to your grandmother but enjoy all the imperfections, it tells a story of a little girl and her granny. I can’t wait to see your progress on the map.

Thank you for sharing your stitching knowledge and projects with us! I really enjoyed learning about the different types of stitching and traditions from Ukraine. It’s clear that it is a very important part of your culture and it’s so beautiful. I think you should complete the project that your grandmother started and frame it so it can be passed down to future generations. I’m looking forward to your next flosstube. 😁

Great video! You showed so many lovely pieces showing your beautiful culture. I loved the wooden map that you stitch different patterns for each district. That’s so cool. Regarding your grandmother’s piece, the story behind it is so sweet I think you should leave it as is because it has your first stitches that yiu shared with your grandmother. Look forward to your next video!
