I’m really enjoying your videos. My ex husband is Ukrainian. His paternal grandfather changed their name to Ulan when he came to America. His mother’s family name is Popiel. His mother was first generation American. I met him when he was in the Army in Oklahoma, where I was born and raised. His family all lived up around Cleveland. His mother and aunts used to make Ukrainian eggs at Easter and she always got the Easter meal blessed. I loved parodies (spelling?). His aunt would correct him and say Pitahea (that’s how it sounded to my Oklahoma ears). His grandmother couldn’t speak English but she taught me how to make potato soup with kluski (I know that’s Pilish). I pray you’re doing okay over there. I support Ykraine

Your stitching is beautiful; I especially love your Fruits of Plenty. It looks as though you are using regular 6-stranded DMC cotton floss, yet your stitches have such a beautiful sheen. It is amazing. Are you able to share any information on the fabric that you are using for this project, as well as the blue fabric for the companion piece? I think they are going to be gorgeous together.

Thank you for good words for my kitty 😸 DMC is a little shiny. I'm stitching 2 over two on Zweigart Belfast 32 count Olive 3609/6016. Beautiful earthy green - very good fabric. And the blue I actually bought in one of the shops in Milan, I will ask what's that when I visit them this week. 😊

So sorry for the loss of your cat 😢. I support Ukraine and have worked on manufacturing and improving many of the weapons that the US is providing Ukraine. (I am a process engineer/manager.) I am not buying anything made by Russia. One cross stitch company from Russia has set up another site in the UK to avoid the embargo.
